Freezing / crash

When I start up a game I can walk for a little while then the game will start freezing up then let me walk a little while again. It will do this 3 or 4 times then crash.

We're going to need more information that that.  When you say "start up a new game" do you mean the intro sequence (i.e. vanilla start) or do you mean from a save game (intro finished?) Your load order might be helpful too.  I've noticed your recent posts, and I know you were having issues before with manual mod installs, and have recently switched to NMM after MO2 wasn't working out for you.

 

NMM is fine, as long as you're not manually editing your install directory.

Do you always follow the same path to test? maybe its that particular cell you're trying to load thats causing the CTD.
