jpsh Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 I recently saw an ad for some 3d game on a pornographic site, for some reason I clicked it, the game had a free demo so I downloaded it and scanned it with 4 different anti-viruses and proceeded to install it. I was pretty impressed and paid the full price for the full game Girlvania: Summer List. Firstly I read the list of games added in this section and didn't see it and the only other mention of the game I saw on the site was a review, so hopefully this is the right section. I enjoy the game but there are somethings I'd love to change edit models and textures mostly, and possibly add entirely new items but if I can just alter stuff I'd be pretty happy. What I've done so far: Researched the site and saw that it mentioned DirectX a bunch and figured it just had a bunch of .X files in the "Program Files" folder and found nothing so did some more searching. I found the program installs in (at least on win 10 x64) "C:\Users\<current user>\AppData\Local\Programs\Girlvania\" inside that directory it has an launch.exe, eula, licenses.txt, and uninstall.exe, and a .nvgp the licence mentions it uses JPEG, zlib, and cURL the .nvgp file is just plain text and has a url in it. the actual data files are stored in "C:\Users\<current user>\AppData\Local\Girlvanic Studios\Girlvania\" this directory has a cache.dat file in it and a Directort "1" Directory 1 has an index (no extension file) and files with the following extensions ".d" "-0.0" .d files are smaller and the "-0.0" ones are bigger so I'm guessing they're some sort of header files and the other are data files. Opening the files in a Notepad++ and HxD didn't really help. I also tried to decompiling the exe in a .net decompiler which failed, then in snowman c\c++ decompiler and it says it's c++ but it's mostly illegible assembly-esq. It would be awesome if someone with more experience with packaged files could help but I'm still going to mess with this. if I end up making any progress I'll definitely be posting back.
