Gender problem with FNIS/ASX and player character. Please help! :-)

So I have FNIS and ASX installed for a few days. Was working fine.

 

The character I started it with was a female. All animations seemed to work fine. Specifically, M-F sex with both females and males animated properly. (When Animate NPC used on a female, my toon took the the male roll and when it was used on male he would have sex with me.)

 

All is happy.

 

Until I made a male toon to experiment with. I get to Riverwood to try things out. And it's way wrong. The first time I use masturbation on something, they do the animation...clothes stay on...no sounds..and they keep walking around and talking as if they aren't. The second time they will strip, but they will still move around some and talk as if they aren't doing anything.

 

Then the wierdness...if I try to have sex, my male character will do their animation...but the character I used it on basically ignores. They glow purple briefly as the spell hits them..but nothing else.

 

Tried this on pretty much every NPC in town.

 

Then I went back to my female toon, fast traveled to Riverwood, and got good results, a few small bugs a few times...but overall better results by far then my male toon.

 

So it seems to me my male character is just messed up.

 

I have FNIS and ASX and AP. When I first got to town, I had AP turned off (AP does play nice with FNIS now according to the creator if you make a few adjustments, which I did).

 

So recap:

On my female toon, everything works fine for FNIS/ASX

Switch to my (Level 1 mind you) Male character and it doesn't work properly at all.

 

Ideas?

 

I did ask in the ASX on Nexus, but the author appears to be MIA, and nobody has touched my question. I thought I'd ask the kind people here.

 

And I've run the FNIS for Users thing as instructed along the way, and a few times while trouble shooting this.

I think the problem is that ASX has not been updated since version 1.5 of Skyrim. When I was running 1.5, I had FNIS (2.1 at the time), ASX (1.6), and AP (1.9) working. Don't ask me how, it was shear luck (and maybe some magic ). Other than some of the know bugs, they worked. Fast forward to earlier this week, I start playing Skyrim again (now at version 1.7), used FNIS 3.1.1 and ASX (no AP). It constantly crashed. I uninstalled ASX, worked cleanly. Reinstalled ASX, constant crash at sex scenes. Uninstalled and install new version of AP (2.32 at that time) - works perfectly (except for a couple know issues). I think the skyrim current version is not compatible with ASX 1.6 (current version). I'd try without ASX and see if the problems go away. Personally, I'm going to wait for ASX to get updated. Supposedly the mod dev group is working on basically a whole new ASX (with brothel/dancing). Again, there's been 2 game versions since they started working on the new stuff, so hopefully that's the delay.

Hey there, thanks for the history info on the mods! I'll keep that all in mind.

 

I guess it's no big loss it doesn't work with my male character. I'm just bummed that M-F sex with a female PC has no audio.

 

There's alot I like with AP, but your right, it has some small bugs. I like ASX for the wholes it filled in, mainly having 2 kinds of masturbation, F-F and foreplay, and a few other things.

 

Is the current ASX version working for anybody on a male player-character? It still seems so odd to me that it works fine on my female toon, but not on my male.

 

Also, how does MLA compare to ASX? Might have to give that a go next.
