Mageman1842 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Hi, I'm trying to replace the decapitated bodies hanging around raider camps with nude versions. Mod page said to just drop the contents from the download into the Meshes\SetDressing\Raider folder... problem is I can not find a meshes folder file in the data file. My file structure shouldn't look like this should it? Frick I can't even make a blown up version using windows photo.
Yanme Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Hi, all the base game's meshes are inside the BSAs, so if you never have installed a mod with loose mesh files you will not have a meshes folder. You can however just create one yourself inside Fallout 4's data directory (make sure it is inside "data" where all the esp / ba2 are). Edit: I just re-read your question and maybe I misunderstood. Take whatever is in the downloaded archive and put it inside Fallout 4\data\meshes\SetDressing\Raider, create that folder if it doesn't exist. Edit2: Warning, the Screenshot shows a name. I don't know if it is you real name but you may wanna hide that.

Yanme Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 On third thought though, I would not recommend to manually install extract anything in the data folder at all, use a Mod Manager for that. I have not used Mod Organizer for Fallout yet, but at least in Skyrim you can tell MO in which subdirectory to install the files.
AWP3RATOR Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Mod Organizer 2 - highly recommended over Nexus Mod Manager. That being said, if you like the manual install method.... that Nude Raider Corpse mod is describing your Fallout4/Data/meshes folder. As @Yanme notes, the vanilla files are packed in to archives. So if you did not unpack them (not recommended) they are there, just in the archives. Simply ensure that you have the paths correct: Fallout4/Data/meshes The game engine loads archives first, then loose files. Since the mod you are describing has loose files, they will take priority when the game loads. A mod manager like Mod Organizer 2 or Nexus Mod Manager will handle the job of actually installing those to the correct places for you. In general, it's recommended to use a mod manager though as manual installing is always easy - uninstalling manual mods is a laborious process of removing the files one by one, ensuring that you are a.) getting them all and b.) not affecting anything that you want to keep.
