Guest Lady Luck Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Suspected platform : PC/PSIII/Xbox 360 Snake " Do you think i'm gone forever?" Video game legend Hideo Kojima was on hand at the PAX 2012 convention recently to talk about his Metal Gear Solid franchise. Kojima didn’t announce the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 5 fans were hoping for, but he did announce that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, which is in fact a prologue to MGS 5. He then showed off Ground Zeroes, which uses his brand new Fox Engine. A 14-minute video of the gameplay demo has now been released online, and can be seen below. The majority of the demo is an in-game cinematic that shows off how gorgeous the game looks, followed by a brief look at the equally impressive gameplay. As stated in the video, Ground Zeroes is a large, open-world game. You can move from mission to mission, calling in a helicopter whenever you want to bring you different locations and countries as needed. You’ll even be able to pick the music playing on the helicopter, and will be able to pilot many other vehicles yourself. " Hey ubisoft give my regards to sam fisher" No word yet on when the game will be released (sometime in 2013), but it will be for the current consoles—Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3—as well as PC. And though Kojima’s new Fox Engine is being used here for the current consoles, he says it will scale up for the next-gen systems whenever they arrive. Take your first peek at the game below and share your thoughts! [video=youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TjvUFl5Q6nA
