squares Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 I'm trying to add body "physics" to outfits I like or feel should have that boobie and sometimes booty jiggle with Outfit Studio by copying bone weight data from referenced body. Unfortunately, it breaks skirt behavior. It "sticks" to crotch area and legs and basically behaves like pants. Am I doing something wrong or it is known issue with "copy\paste" bone weight method? Do I need to learn how to weight paint whole outfit or is there some other smart method?
AWP3RATOR Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Weight painting for myself would be ideal, but I'm not very good with it as yet, and get very mixed results. So what I do myself is get 2 outfits to copy weights from. One with the jiggly bits data (Cherry Hotaling's) is a good spot to find these either just the body or finished outfits. The other is a vanilla dress with the weighting I want. First, I copy load the Cherry's body and copy all the weights (this will break the skirt physics). Then, I load the dress I want to restore weights from, set it as the reference, and copy JUST the bone weights painted to the dress portion that needs to be flowing and not jiggling. Works pretty well, for a hack.

If I choose body physics (even with just two googles bones), skirt goes pants mode and if I choose skirt cloth data, body physics gone. I'll try it again as soon as I make it home. I was also thinking about "cutting" upper part of outfit and it's underbody, then pasting it as the armor addon with it's own cloth data. This sounds like a dumb workaround though. Edit: You were right, it works. Guess I was doing something wrong first time I tried it. Thank you for saving me from butchering dresses and bodies.
