So my issue is occasionally my game just freezes up about an hour into play to be exact so I tab out (If my PC lets me sometimes I have to do a hard reset) This only seems to happen in interior cells. After the crash in the interior cell I load up the save previous and it just freezes I can't move or anything yet the music plays. I am playing on an older system, I have an Nvidia 7800 GT SLI setup and am still on XP 32bit os, ( I know it is old as dirt I am getting a new pc next month ) I am playing in low rez 1024x768 and using bloom all distant features are off. Ark of Truth Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Try fast traveling the other end of the map and then come back. If that does not work then you most likely have a corrupt save. But I would wait until Greg takes a look at it.

I could not get the save to comply but I was able to load a previous save One in the open world, it appears this only occurs when I save in interior cells. I am going to try and find more info through the google gods maybe greg will know something about it fingers crossed.

Uriel Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 You don't need to install textures, you only need OBGEv3 to kill every FPS possible. I've got GTX570, 8Gb RAM, i5 2500k and i'm somewhere near 35fps too. I use QTP3, OBGE parallax shader, liquid water, godrays and some other shaders though.

gregathit Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 With that older rig you need to dump about half of the mods that you have if you want to have a somewhat stable game. First on the hit list of things to dump are CM partners mods and CSS (they add tons of idle packages that chew up processor power and ram). Next would be mods that add spawn points and or creatures, like Mart's Monster Mod. Again, this is adding to the already overworked computer's load and you just don't have the room to spare. Dump any other NPC adding (like moDem's City Life.esp) mods you have. Pair down your mods to around 50 or so (that means putting the ax to the lovers stuff too!!!) and then try playing on the low settings. You will find your game should be tons more stable and free from stuttering. Once you have your new gaming rig take it easy on installing mods a few at a time until you find your tipping point, at which you start loosing FPS and then stop adding mods/textures and such. As far as idle go I do have personality idles but I use the player only version now. I agree that an over abundance is a problem I am a mod addict >.< but I do not believe that is the cause of this issue of freezing sir, hear me out for a moment it only happens when trying to load a save game on an interior cell ie. a dungeon or home so such mods are not even active in there, I dropped Joburg and that seems to have had a great impact. I also modified MMM and cut out a good deal of spawn increases. I am not really sure so I started cutting back on OBSE mods because i think that it is the culprit. It seems everytime I crash my error message is Dx32.dll or OBSE or Windam Earl so yeah I think it is a processor being bogged down. But what gives with the DX errors that i do not get.

I still recommend cutting back to somewhere between 20-40 mods total and if you can still run the game fine then add one or two mods at a time until you start to have problems and at that point....stop. The DX errors could be coming from the voice plugin deal. Then again it might be anything. COBL is fairly script heavy as it makes a bunch of changes. The bad thing is uninstalling COBL can be difficult. Freaking thing worms its way into way more than it should. I found it to be similar to AOL, myself.

gregathit Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 If you are getting those kinds of frame rates and your game is stable then I would not change a thing. With oblivion you often hit a "sweet spot" and at that point it is best to make a backup (which you can compress via 7zip or WinRAR or whatever compression program you favor to save space). This way you always have a fall back in case you add a mod that breaks things. Once you have the new rig up and running and are play testing things you can then decide if you want to try to add a few more mods (perhaps some of those that you had to ditch earlier). Just remember to do so in small numbers and play test to find your new sweet spot. Best of luck and happy gaming on your new rig!

Remember oblivion is an old game that basically ran far too much through the CPU. I was not aware of what CSS was and assumed it was a companion mod (since it had a bunch of what looked like NPC names with some of them. Still there would be scripts telling who got what voice and with your rig you just don't have the room to spare. I still recommend cutting back to somewhere between 20-40 mods total and if you can still run the game fine then add one or two mods at a time until you start to have problems and at that point....stop. The DX errors could be coming from the voice plugin deal. Then again it might be anything. COBL is fairly script heavy as it makes a bunch of changes. The bad thing is uninstalling COBL can be difficult. Freaking thing worms its way into way more than it should. I found it to be similar to AOL' date=' myself. I am not sure if LoversSpermSplashEx.esp and Lovers3dorgasm.esp are compatible as they would both be activating at the same time. Try disabling sperm splash in the lovers settings and see if that doesn't fix you up.

Try disabling sperm splash in the lovers settings and see if that doesn't fix you up. Sperm splash seems to work with sex scenes not with MB2, I will try disabling it and see what happens. I did find out what was causing crashes though, turns out the mucus and love juice mod does require MBP though it is not listed as such in the mod list.
