esp creation/amendment

K, so I have just discovered a follower mod that I have installed, that does not have an esp file and, subsequently, does not load in game!  Never noticed I had not encountered the npc until coming across a post here on LL.

So, I have no knowledge of CK or mod creation!  Following some guides, I created a blank esp.  Didn't help as did not know what to do after!  Created a bsa/bsl following another guide, but despite MO recognizing the archive, the assets do not load - still no follower!

 

Any help appreciated in how to create a esp/bsa from an existing mod.  I have the meshes and texture folders from the original, just not the knowledge to implement them in to the game!!!

 

Any and all help appreciated.  If I can fix it to work, happy to upload here for others.

So you have a follower mod... that means someone made it at one point.  Where did you get it?  Go back to the website and look around, most likely there was something you were supposed to download but you didn't.

If the weight morph data is available and if the npc is using vanilla head parts it can be recreated with reasonable accuracy but it takes some time. If it's custom shaped head in racemenu or ece with one or more custom head parts I wouldn't waste any time on it.

Yes there is a folder called Gata.esp but it only has nif files inside, no esp.

The mod is Gata follower and is not on Nexus any longer.  Pretty sure I didn't miss any files to download, but can't check as it's not there!

Thanks, if it is that complicated, guess I'll just remove it and move on.
