Does anyone know what mod causes skill trainers to lose their function?

So something in my mods is causing certain skill trainers to lose their functions. They'll offer training, but the following voice clip will have no sound, and not bring up the training menu. Not all of them are affected, but quite a few are, such as Ogmund in Markarth or Arcadia in Whiterun. Is something messing with their voice files or something?

I can't help you there, but i can give a tip, how can you do it yourself. I was using this trick in the FO3/Oblivion/NV.

 

When doing this it might CTD, so don't save during this!

- disable half of all your mods, and load the game like this

- if the problem still exists, then you know that the other half that you didn't select isn't the problem OR if the problem doesn't exists then the problem lies in the other half

- next, from the half that is causing trouble make another half, and just use this, again try to load and see the results...

and again check which half works and doesn't, and again just half that it doesn't works, and so on,

again again again, till you find the problematic one,

 

I know that it might be time consuming but still you will find the problematic ESP, sometimes you will find more than one causing trouble, so you must first find one, then again go do it all over again but not selecting the first problematic you found

One thing that also might not hurt is going through your load order with a fine toothed comb and making sure you have no duplicates:

I am pretty sure that you were supposed to pick only one of the above and not all of them. I could be wrong but it is worth you reading the readme for that mod and any other that you may have installed where there are multiple esp files.

EDIT: Also take a hard look at any skill, perk or dialogue mods that you have as one of them could be the culprit. Again, read the readme's and mod descriptions so you know exactly what each mods esp does and this can save you from all sorts of conflicts popping up.

The culprit turned out to be the Dovahkiin Hideout home mod. Somehow.

 

Seeing as how the mod seems to be abandoned, I suppose it's time to put this one to rest.

 

 

 

And oh wow, I had no idea NMM had installed every esp. Since I couldn't read the full names in the list I thought those mods were just broken up like that. Thanks for the heads up!
