Nexus SSL certificate broken?

Since friday i keep getting this error when trying to visit Nexusmods.com with Firefox:

 

SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL

 

 

 

I already tried to delete my cert8.db file to make sure this isn't a problem on my end. Seeing no current threads about it in the forum either.

Just went and checked. had no issues. I'm running the latest FireFox on Win10

Well it also worked in safe mode, removing addons one by one did not help.

 

Probably something that Firefox screwed up itself. Using the "clean firefox" tools does work, although this also erases all your settings and addons.

Sorry if my post is too late, but it could eventually help someone else. Firefox might encounter this error if the certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate.

Thanks for the link. Well my router isn't old and doesn't have a security exception for Nexus, though if the problem ever happens again i will try that.

 

The "clean firefox" option is kind of a PITA to get everything back, if you heavily customized your settings.
