Need help about Custom races

Hi everyone, its been a while.

 

SO i need someone for explain me something about custom race.

 

The only reason i take this mod is for play a uniques race with uniques features, i dont want to spread a 4k skin for woman all over skyrim.

So i take the mod, follow the installation.

 

I was used CustomraceNord, i copy all the skeleton,mesh and texture installed ( xpmse,CITRUS Head, TMBE body and PureSkin).

For now my CustomNord should be different from other nord vanilla race.

 

In order to attempt my objectives, i was used a preset from Jindo2003.

They are basically all nord. So when i charge the desired preset, the head texture mismatch with the rest of the body.

I was thinking first to a error of mine in the installation of the textures. I redo eveything, but with no success.

 

If the preset is based on Nord mesh, Custom Nord should be no the problem. All his preset use PureSkin and i already installed them a ton of time.

For the rest of the npc, i want to use Fairskin.

I did it but i think the CustomNord race always share his features with vanilla, its just a supposition.

 

So if someone can tell me or show me a way to resolve my problem, i will be grateful.

I am going on memory while being about half a country away from my PC for the last 3 weeks, so I may be completely wrong. 

 

Now the custom races have their own directory, but the presets you use are going on the vanilla races.  So you pick Custom Nord and try to apply a vanilla Nord race preset, and that changed the face textures so they go to what you set for Vanilla? 

 

The head mesh is saved as part of the racemenu preset data.  When you pick a preset, the loadout data on the left panel should have something to the effect of "FemaleHeadNord"  I can't remember.  Basically it tells you what head it will draw from, and that determines what textures are linked to that head.  So if you load a vanilla nord race preset onto the custom nord race, it will change to the vanilla mesh, unless there was no head to load from in which case your results will vary.

 

Fear not.   If I remember right, under the "Head" section in the sliders menus, there is a category called "Face Part" that lets you cycle through the available vanilla faces, vampire faces, and other faces compatible with that race.  One of those choices should be your Custom Nord race head.  Possibly "FemaleHeadCustomNord" You just have to pick that one and you should get your matching textures back.  I think.

can't tell what that problem is without a screen...

 

if that custom race don't have texture set for headpart femaleheadcustomrace, but load that from the head nif, and it's astrid in the nif, you end up with astrid texture

if that customrace don't have nord morph race flag check at the end of that race, loading mod x warpaint or whatever, available for nord race, but not for customrace, won't load on that customrace

if the head have vertex color and the body don't have vertex color, it won't match

if...

 

copy paste pureskin in bodychange1

switch to bodychange1

your char use pureskin

harder to fail if you follow bodychange readme instead of messing around with some custom race
