Throwing Animation Help

I'm working on a new mod that will add a unique throwing weapon to Skyrim.  I have a couple of quick questions though.

 

1) The only throwing animation that comes with the game is the Reikling spear throwing animation, and for whatever reason only they can use it.  I've written the couple of authors on the Nexus who have made Throwing Weapon mods and asked to use their animation, but thus far no response.  Can anybody here whip up a throwing animation or even hack the Riekling one so I can use it?

 

2) How can I make sure my weapon is reusable and not treated as ammo or a disposable 1 shot weapon by the game?
