BlueShinobi Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I'm wanting to make the camera in Skyrim work like (please do not reply to this thread if you don't watch that for fifteen seconds to know what I'm talking about). I'm not totally sure this is possible, as it seems it's your character that is rotated in relation to the camera(which is something I haven't noticed in any other game). If you pan the camera around 180 degrees and tap a direction button, the camera doesn't move, but your character that was facing you, now again has their back totally turned to you. Does anyone have any ideas on how or if this can be done? Messing with the [camera] settings in the main ini file does not seem to do it. I'm going to predict the first few posts of the thread and add them in advance: Why do you want to do this? This doesn't sound like fun to me. Therefore, you shouldn't want do it either! I've never even considered this, but I'm %100 sure it's impossible because I haven't happened to do it Now we've got those out of the way
prideslayer Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Well there's another first response option you didn't consider... 1. What game are you talking about? This might be possible in Skyrim. Almost certainly impossible in Oblivion, FO3, or FONV. I haven't tried this exactly, but I've fought with camera issues in FONV for sexout enough to know there is next to nothing you can do to the camera without modifying core game settings (which can't be done dynamically, at least for now) or playing a VATS "animation" which is also not dynamic but in a different sense.
BlueShinobi Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 I see I posted this outside the Skyrim section, which is the real problem. It has the same forum name Anyway, changed title and text to reflect this. Apparently, I can't report the post to be moved, because report is only for abuse.
