Xristina~~~ Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Hello, I've downloaded and installed Wicked Whims avoiding the 5 most common installation mistakes, works fine, shows up at the start menu, i can play it just fine, have updated it, but i can't seem to make the animations work although i extracted them with rar first and then placed them in the mods folder. I have downloaded and installed most of the animations i have the recource.cfg. i just don't know what else there is to do.. Could you help me?
BonsaiWeed Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 When you load up TS4 and it displays the popup confirming that it has loaded correctly, does it state at all how many animations you have loaded? It should say something about version number, how many animations installed and from which animation packs. If the popup/ notification displays animations loaded, you then can fire them up by interacting with several items (beds, couches, counters, floor etc), selecting the Wicked-> Sex option.

If not, then it could be that the latest version of WickedWhims is incompatible with the older versions of sims4

HEKTHR Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Ok then make sure that: -IF you have the animations inside SUB-folders, in your mods folder, that you resource.cfg file is correct, and does accept sub-folder loading. -IF you have played sims4 on different languages before, THAT you have the animations in the correct language folder! If you play Sims4 in english all your mods should be inside C:\"YourPCUserName"\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods, BUT if you play in another language, sims4 will change the name according to your language, meaning that if you play it in german, all mods will automatically only get loaded from C:\"YourPCUserName"\Documents\Electronic Arts\Die Sims 4\Mods (note that its not The Sims 4 now, its Die Sims 4 (cuz german language)) -IF you have too many mods installed, that you might create a new test save game, and try out if its working in there, or if its bugged in all save-games (sims 4 save games sometimes get corrupted and therefore some custom content does not show up then) Ill think of more problems, if i remember some, ill tell you

Can you tell me the names of all animation packages you have installed? maybe there is one package that causes all the trouble! Some animators make like 2 versions of packages, for example Mike24 on patreon has a normal and a rough version, having both can cause trouble, also, try deleting your Thumbnail cache, and maybe put all animation files + wickedwhims in just the mod folder, no subfolder, and see if that makes a difference! Also, i dont seem to have any thumbnail cache. I've just tried to move wicked whims into the mod folder with any sub folder and dind't make a difference. :(

Because their is the possibility of a corrupted save game Also, localthumnailcatch file? not inside the mods folder, inside the TheSims4 folder (one above the mods folder)

You got to main-menu, click on New Game, create any sims you need, assign them to a lot, enable always accept in wickedwhims, so that they do not reject sex requests, and then try out if the animations still do not show up in game (just any sims, only for testing) By the way, i just realized, the two sims (or multiple?) that you use as sex partners, what gender to they have? and what object did you try? Are the sims, two male sims? or two female sims?

Are the sims, two male sims? or two female sims? i used mainly female and male and i tried giving the female a penis for a change and i also tryed same sex couples. the wicked whims selection only comes up when i click on a bed or the floor.
HEKTHR Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Ooh, that is very weird, because, this is the issue that happen when the new patch came out, exactly that issue, where all objects were not compatible with wickedwhims, only floor and bed, its not a problem with the animations then, its a problem with wickedwhims OR another mod that alters these functions! Sooo, are you sure that you do have the right version of wickedwhims? because TURBODRIVER did upload the same version twice, the second time was with a fix for the first on, it is downloadable here http://simfileshare.net/download/363077/ Do make sure that you delete ANY wickedwhims file before you copy the new one into your mod folder! Maybe that can solve your problem

Maybe that can solve your problem i thought i did delete all of the wicked whims previous downloads apparently i didn't because i found some in another electronic arts folder somehow, so i deleted them all and i installed it, i still couldn't make the animations work and then i just went to the start menu on my pc clicked on location of whicked whims and it wasn't the location we all go (program files etc) just a normal folder in electronic arts and i saw the wicked whims folder and the recource file and i just copied all the animations in there and it worked!!! God i spilled blood to make it work... o.O
