Can I download new materials for Skyrim Creation Kit?

Hi,

I am totally new on creation kit. Where could I find new materials for skyrim creation kit? And how to use them? 

Please, help.

what materials? did you mean modder assets?

Not sure what you mean either.  Let me hazard a guess though.

 

You don't need the Creation Kit to use mods, ONLY to create or change them.  Generally, modders make mods from scratch.  There are some pre-made resources available on sites like Nexusmods.com though.  Those are things like furniture that you could use if you were making a house mod (as one example)

 

If you want to get familiar with making mods using the Creation Kit, Bethesda's intro series on YouTube is probably the best place to start.  It covers all the basics and from there you can expand your viewing to some great tutorial makers like DarkFox127 and Gopher.  Some extremely talented modders here as well, just be patient if it takes them time to reply to a posted question. 

 

Bethesda has the Creation Kit Wiki also, that tells you ALMOST everything about modding Skyrim, or Fallout 4.  It's very dry reading and not always explained clearly enough for somebody who is new to modding though.

If I am making something new, like a place or race, I need new/external objects or meshes files. Can I download them?

The kit comes with prefabricated pieces.  Watch the tutorial videos I linked to and you'll see how to use them.  Every texture and mesh used to create the game is in the kit.

 

Beyond that you can download them from sites like NexusMods.com.  Goto the Skyrim Nexus there and look for modder's resources.

OR you have to use a program like 3DS Max and NIFSkope to create them yourself.
