Kageryu Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 My problem is that other people in the Oblivion world are also having kids and eventually, those kids come to ME. They come to my home and start fighting with my companions. @_@ Also, sometimes when my companions have kids, they just randomly start fighting. Also, when I check the other childrens' umbilical cords, it says "missing name" for the mother/father. Does anyone else have this problem? I have the latest English TamagoClub and HiyokoClub by Maou along with the components from TamagoClub 1.04 and the hiyokocreaturesgenerator and genetics. Also, I'm using Mad Companionship Spell to manage my companions.
polluxval Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 that happend to me except for the fight part. try disabling lovers encounters if you have it enable and reduce the probability to give birth.

Since the kids inherit the aggression of their parents it can get very high. If you know how to script you could set a limit to aggression. Otherwise you may want to disable the mod altogether. Without Genetics, all kids will have the default race stats. You could then customize the stats for each kid with the console. The problem with kids following the player seems to happen to some people. Might be a mod conflict. To get more information I advise you to first get ConScribe. It's an OBSE plugin that logs all your console output to a text file. Very useful for finding errors and bugs. Next, you should load a game where other actors' kids are following you. Open the console and type "set a4hc.debug to 2". You must save the game and restart now for the changes to take effect. With debug mode on, you should get a message in the console for each kid at startup like "x follows y", where x is the kid's name and y the parent's. Also, use the HiyokoClub settings spell. You'll find a few options that weren't visible without debug mode on. Click the button that says "(Debug)Print list of children" or something like that. As the name indicates, this will print a list of all active children in the world. With ConScribe you can quit the game now and check the log. The information for the debug list includes the parent's names for each kid. Try to get a few examples for children that follow you but are not yours and post them.
KindMan Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Iirc I read somewhere that orphans follow the Player, which would correlate to the fact that the cord shows "missing name".
GrimReaper Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Keep in mind that some NPCs despawn when a cell gets reseted. Especially generic ones like bandits, marauders or even guards. This could be the problem with the missing parents.
GMac2021 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I had this problem before. I got rid of it by ditching CM Partners. When I fast travelled, ALL the kids in the world (and all of the slaves I had sold, too) would warp to me - then they'd try to run to their parents/owners. Most of them wouldn't make it... Oblivion is a very dangerous place. Switching to Mad Companionship Spells (and using a clean save) eliminated this problem. Just my scenario - yours may differ...
