imafaget Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Hi guys. I'm on Oldrim, and my computer was recently updated to the Windows 10 Fall Creator's patch a couple days ago. I just tried firing up Oldrim but there is some very extreme screen flickering that makes it unplayable. I did not change any Oldrim settings after the Fall Creator's update, everything is the same as it was. I have updated my Nvidia drivers to the latest version but it does not fix the issue. DxDiag shows no problems on the display side, and disabling/enabling Vsync does not fix the issue either. Can anyone help? Thanks Edit: nevermind, set ENB setting to force borderless fullscreen and it went away
kiki7887 Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Hmm this is pretty crappy solution, fullscreen mode performs way better than this borderless crap. Also if i turn on enb vsync, my game just freezes at loading anything. So they fixed 4064 memory issue, but brought fullscreen problems to so many older games. SIGH. Getting -3 fps overall. No ctd anymore tho, except few after alt tabbing (if i alt tab back, and f.e. fast travel too soon, ctd for sure). ALSO, i cannot change sound blaster volume from within skyrim - using keyboard or external sound blaster volume knob. Have to alt tab for this to work. !!!!!! (tho reading what other problems people have with their x-fi and FCU, i just lol it)
Guest Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 I can't comment on your screen flickering issue, but when it comes to media controls - Skyrim is one of those problematic games that block media keys. Usually installing drivers and software bundled with your keyboard works around this issue, though obviously I can't guarantee that it will work for you.

Hmm i didnt have any problem, using that logitech green taskbar thingy, and sound blaster drivers. Allways changing volume without problems. Now after FCU, this broke. But thats minimal issue. Just i had everything set up so my fps never fall under 30 (running on poor 1050ti with kwanon enb and some medium high stuff) and now, on some places, thanks to FCU it goes to 27 - f.e. in mid of morthal swamp - with SFO basic and dyndolod, that place is worst fps killer for me. BUT before, i was never able to get game running stable without CTD - coc to 4 towns, then walk from whiterun towards falls - ctd, few other places too. This is now FIXED, thanks to 10000 memory. So i guess i should be happy. Just got to get used to this weird alt tab behavior, game is still running, its weird, and somewhere catch up for that 10perc performance. EDIT oh and this fake fullscreen has one big big advantage - it is using icc profiles. So everything looks better.
