I have been messing with the localization of some mods to familiarize myself with the localization workings, and mostly uneventful, until i try doing small testing changes to the Banshee mod and Marvin Seo Mods_ Shared Assets, in the screenshot it shows the files i used before in other mods to successfully do changes to mods localization and the errors by running the localization exe.

 

So more concretely, how do i make changes to the journals files from the Banshee mod?

Especially considering that those journals don't drop from the mod, but from an add on from Koala's Creature Collection - JournalsKoalas, to what version of the bansheejournals.string_table.xml the changes should be apply?

If you about mine conversions of them into befriendable heroe classes - just surf through LL forum, they are all here (for easier search just use tags, i alwayes leaving original enemy name in post (like "Brigand Cutthroat" for Butcher class, or "Cultist Acolyte" for High Priestess class etc)

Hi, I have a question about the skins, how can I configure them so that the other skins don't break? Is there any configuration or solution for this problem (I'm using the translator :p)

Please state what your specific issue is.

But from your post it sounds that you are using skins that have modified skel data.

Also what is your preferred language maybe we can help you better even thought this an  eng forum

Hello and thanks for replying. I speak Spanish in case you were wondering and regarding the skel I wanted to know if they can be configured so that they don't conflict with other skins.

No, each "skel|atlas" files using with their own sprites (those sprites exactly making "which skin will be shown in the game")

Different skins using different "skel|atlas"

Technically its possible to make different skins have one "skel|atlas" - its just will be hell ton of work, in fact making whole new skin (reskin in that case) just for skeleton, so different skins will have exactly one skeleton

And since many skins having different body proportions|length of arms|legs and etc - its 99% of time even impossible from anathomic side here too (skeleton and bones just will not match meshes from sprites properly)

 

So - for one heroe class its possible to use only one skin with one "skel"

Its just game core and limitation by game mechanic here

If you want different skins - just make as i do in my game, chose another class and use that skin with it, as reskin

By Darkest Dungeon mechanic - any skin (animation for "walk" "combat" "idle" or sprites for skills) can be attached for any enemy or heroe, including "making enemy skin as heroe (my beloved pattern, since i myself really loving "bad girls" (like Bandit girls, Cultist|Necromancer girls or Demon girls) to befriend with :))) and make heroe skin as enemy (also using that pattern - at least 90% of my heroe classes who are in-game - have their enemy counterpart with exactly same skin and skillset (like Brigand Vestal, or Wild Hellion etc), allowing better roleplay of "capturing|saving, convincing and befriending after")"

So - in fact you can attach or reattach ANY skin for ANY class or ANY enemy (really any, but usually its wise to use fitting skins for fitting classes|enemies - for example attach mage skin for melee class, or shaman|healer skin for range with rifle - will not be immersive and will break immersion, obviously)

 

And if you really loving some skin, and want it in your game - just chose class that will fit it good (at least 70-90% fit in nature and lore of skills and appearence), and reskin it with that skin if here no more other classes|places where to attach it

I myself doing plus-minus the same as in this guide with my reskinnings, may be just a little bit different, but 95% the same

(Here also some advanced tips - to make it smoother and "properly" in file names, or edit sprites|animations, also if put more effort - ANY class can be edited to reattach any skin by fitting nature, lore and skill appearence between them - but its already "advanced" ways, if you just want skin and play - that guide and simple attaching should be enough, i guess, if you dont want to dig deep into editing and modding yourself))

 

Process itself of reskinning in DD really simple (hopefully) and intuitive - just need to make one time yourself to figure out, further will be easier

Hello, kinda busy, very busy with work for the time being, so i can't play or post as much as i would like, anyway here something of a quick fix, i noticed that this wall looked flat or off with the background i added to it so i remove it, when i have time i'll work more on the town dungeon

Same small pattern as it was with boots before - since i was having right now in proper playthrough some "dress|cloak|coat|clothes|armor etc" trinkets on my heroes - decided to remake their icons, for more divercity and more sexy outlook in game)

Made them myself just from random Google-searched latex outfits (most were AI-generated as i understang), removing background in AI, and then making small edit in GIMP to fit original DD nature of those icons and size)

So - feel free to use those if you like any of them, for any fitting trinkets you want in your game (replacing is pretty easy, just copy and rename with exactly name which trinket icon was previously in "panels" folder, for mods or even for base game trinkets - for example for "Ancestral Coat", or for some vanilla cloacks)

 

May be at some point in future, when will be mood, time and plenty of trinkets such kind in inventory and on heroes - will make same for gloves, since boots and clothes already finished into that pattern)

I'm playing lustiest lair recently. The descriptions of the monsters in the game are mostly male, while the heroes are all female. It's like a bunch of female heroes are violated by a bunch of monsters when they go into a dungeon. I've seen a lot of mods that make heroes female and monsters female, but there seems to be no mods for naked male monsters. For example, add a penis to swine.

My futa Hellhound (hound's rush ability) and futa rabid gnasher attack have white squares instead.
Tried reinstalling, not sure what the problem is.

hi I got a question, is there a mod that make more modded enemy monster composition/party like swine scavenger (swine scavenger mini-boss mod) the skeleton four arm (bristle and bone) and a pig that forge thing (dd2 monster mod) something like that

(encountered her in proper playthrough, so - to continue playing, will make "final polished revamped version of her mod", since for now its on "dirty placeholder version" still, was waiting exactly that encounter to remake it when "time will come"))

Don't know if this is what you're talking about, but if you're looking for the problem that caused the errors that was presented by the screenshot, I've met this problem too. The solution is to copy the game's original "colours" folder to the folder of the mod that you're editing since the localization.exe reads the colours files from the mod itself instead of the game's files.

I'm not a native English speaker, and I apologize for my poor expression🥺
