Fl0g Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I don't think I would ever pay for a mod on CClub. The whole thing left me with a bad impression, same with steam workshop. If there were another way, where the content creator got all (or almost all) the money then I would consider it.
absoltekk Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 A new continent. Doesn't have to have a main story, or anything. But if there's a Solstheim-sized landmass to explore, complete with quests, towns or whatever else, I'd gladly pay $15-$20 for it. As long as it's well done enough. I would also pay for a massive, maze-like dungeon. Complete with several quests, perhaps even towns and hubs within the dungeon due to how vast it is. My point is, I'd really only pay for something if it's comparable to the already released DLC.
Guest Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Bethesda can't successfully play the "if it ain't official it ain't safe" card with anybody with half a brain and experience of the hilarious state of their games at launch. Zenimax and their lepper buddies Ubisoft, EA and all those other fuckers who think it's okay to polish a turd and hold their hand out, they'll continue to make big old profits no doubt, but Bethesda can probably kiss goodbye to it's long standing hobbyist community if Zenimax persist, which they probably will. Money can't buy that level of support for games that would otherwise have been firmly consigned to history by now. They'll be left with an audience of casuals, (the gaming equivalent of may flies) and games with the same shelf life as any other. And those of you who say "I'd buy it if it was a great big X,Y or Z", don't imagine for a second they'll produce anything DLC sized that doesn't need an army of modders to patch up and make right. Leopards can't change their spots. But they'll happily charge for a temporary paint job. But then I notice Arthmoor, a guy who knows very intimately well how shonky things often are when Bethesda turn out content, is parroting the party line, telling everybody it's a good thing. If that isn't an indication of how confused the community is on this issue, I'm not sure what is. /rant
lvk Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 I'd pay for Dragonborn-level DLCs. There's nothing of sorts on CC. (Speaking hypothetically I'd also pay for 100% tested, stable and compatible DD+DCL package (or F4 DCW for that matter), but Bethesda will never associate itself with such stuff.)
