mpcato234 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Hey. I have seen videos where assets in story mode have been replaced. And I believe it was done via lnk_reshuffle. Especially, I'm looking to replace miyako's body in the oil rig movie, but general advice is okay too. So my question is, how can I find out the asset name to replace?
cdward Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 I don't know if there's another way to do it, but I found out by accident that using the AutoLink method to set the default costume for the slot used in a given movie works. I forget which key it is, but there's a key you can press to set the currently chosen costume in every slot to be the "new default", and it works in the movies too. Edit: here's an example:

If it doesn't work right away in story mode, play a quick match after selecting the outfit you want. The part that sucks... If a character is wearing, say, outfit 4, you have to switch to outfit 4, select the nude skin, press Ctrl-0, and then play the movie. It isn't a default across all outfits for that character.

I don't know anything about replacing non-player characters... other than that, this question has been answered.
mpcato234 Posted October 8, 2017 Author Posted October 8, 2017 Thank you for your replies. Indeed I know how the player character costumes can be changed, and when you use Autolink, you can easily replace all costumes for a playable character, so that in most intro videos, the replaced costumes/bodies are shown. To do this nearly automated, just edit the AutoLink000.config accordingly, pointing to the right *.TMC files for each costume. Alas, my original question still stands: say I want to replace the monkey in one cutscene, or Miyako, who is not a playable character, how can I find the corresponding assets and replace them?
LGMODS Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Ink_Reshuffle or Archive Tool are a must have to replace non-playable characters. Some of them are called RTM some others have their own names, it's up to you to check what is what but everything is replacable in Story Mode even objects. From memorie Miyako is the first or second RTM model you'll find. The monkey have his own name, most of time assets who have their own names have some clue in them as being an abreged name version of the final (let say monkey can be "mky"). Replacing with Ink or Archive make a permanent swap, you'll have to remove or replace them manually again if you want to make an edit. AutoLink is completely useless for non-playable characters it's impossible to do with it.

Eventually I will do a screenshot or video, once I finished replacing everything I have in mind.
