Do sorting mods change armor names?

I have uninstalled some sorting mods but it has not fixed the problem

Load up your FO4Edit, then have a look at whats overwriting the name any particular armor.

I believe the way most work just uninstalling will not change the name of items you already acquired.  It will just be future items you loot will not be renamed.
