Conagher Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 I would like to put this current playthru on hold for abit until an update comes out on a mod I wanna play. I used the tool on NMM to "de-actiivate all my mods, then created another profile. I went thru the intro scene into Helgen. Got up to the chopping block and that's where all forward progress stopped. I couldn't do anything & the dragon never showed up. Never had that ever happen b4. Any1 know how to proceed from here?
ppp Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 That can happen if your timescale is less than 5. Try typing set timescale to 30 (which is the default) into the console (opened with ` (~)). Did you activate a new mod list, or is it entirely vanilla? I'm not sure how NMM handles scripts. You may have some in your Scripts folder causing problems.
Conagher Posted September 24, 2017 Author Posted September 24, 2017 I'll check that timescale. I de-activated all my mods. I re-activated dimonized and SKYUI only b4 i hit start New.. Of course, I forgot about SKYUI not working without SKSE but I shouldn't have gotten even that far if that was truly the issue. TY for the help. Edit: I tried setting the timescale to 30 but the movement was stationary. I had dialogue but the wagons were not moving. I've never had this problem b4. I only re-activated dimonized this time.
ppp Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 There shouldn't be anything that messes with timescale with only those, but you never know. Did you not get a message about lacking SKSE? I'm pretty sure the game works, SkyUI just complains if you don't have it.

That's why on the 2nd try I only re-activated dimonized UNP body. That was the only mod I had activated. Started a New game and as soon as the intro started...no movement of the wagons... but the dialogue did start. When the dialogue ended.. everything came to a dead stop.
ppp Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 That is really weird. The intro is known to be unstable, but I've never heard of that particular problem, especially with only a cosmetic mod. Try again? Maybe try with the default launcher?

If I go with the default launcher, can I later install SKSE and all the other mods I want?
ppp Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 You can, but I suggested it to try to weed out the source. Just do the intro and see what happens.
