[REQUEST] I'm in need of someone making an armor for me, if that's possible...

Okay, it's been ages since I came on this site but the urge of wanting to fire up Skyrim (not the Special Edition) has been gaining momentum lately and I have been thinking of checking what's new on Nexus. The sight of followers and armors kinds of got old pretty quick but then I remembered one LN I read some time ago and I'm hoping that someone would be able to bring the armor the protagonist wore into Skyrim.

For those wondering, it's a light novel called Goblin Slayer. There's a running comic on this title too. I can make do without the weapons attached as it would make for a better appearance customization.

If you are not ready to pay someone for creating such an armor for you (and high-quality work can cost up to $300 for one set of armor), the best way is to create armor yourself. Otherwise you will never see this armor in Skyrim - because none of the 3-d modelers will not do this kind of work for some dude from the Internet for a simple "thank you".

You have no money or do not want to pay? Are you unfamiliar with 3D tools and other related things? Then you can try to find something similar.

Nothing found? Well, you're out of luck. Just accept it.

3D tools of what kinds would be preferable for a greenhorn to take a dip in the department? I got a bit of taste of that during college but since my later work has nothing on 3D modelling, I never really took that up again. Wouldn't mind trying to warm up the water again after so long though I really would be strained hard on the time and skill department to do anything of creating an armor for a game outright but at least it's a step. Actually, is there's a full guide of how to create, texture and import stuffs into Skyrim that anyone would recommend?

Personally I use blender. You can google for "Blender Nif scripts" of "blender nif tools".

And I'm sure that somewhere here on LL (or on nexus) there are instructions on how to use this scripts and other "armor import" related stuff. I can not point them to you because I never read them, preferring to use "trial and error" method.

By the way, a little advice. Do not try to do anything immediately from scratch. First try to remake some armor from the vanilla game. For example, for recreating armor on the picture that you post before, you can use assets from stalhrim or nordic carved armors.

Yep.

For main part of boots armor you can use metall part of nordic carved gloves. For kneekaps - upper part of nordic carved boots. Body armor can be recreated with stalhrim assets. For pauldrons you can use pauldrons from dawnguard armor (they have slightly similar shape). Hands armor... Not sure what we have something similar in the game. For throwing knifes you can use vanilla steel daggers. For bags and pouches - parts of thief guild armor.

But helmet is a problem, yes =)
