DOA Paradise Models??? (Help)

So I am having some issues importing DOA Paradise models into 3DS Max. I saw someone on Xentax have the same issue as I do, so I want to post something here so that it may be resolved. Basically I want Rio's model from DOA Paradise, because I have an idea of maybe porting her over to DOA5. I know that the only tools that I am aware of were by Fatduck on Xentax, but it seems that his tools do not work properly. I was just curious if anyone here had any luck with importing any of the Paradise models since I think some of the motions may have been used for the Beach Paradise Mod here. Anyway I hope that this can be resolved soon because this has been driving me nuts over the past few days. I primarily use Blender for my 3d modeling needs, but I occasionally use 3DS Max to convert models that cannot be directly import into Blender. I hope to hear something from someone soon.

There has been a rip of the Rio models from Warriors All-Stars, I bet that would be much better to use.

There are lot of dancing animations from that game too. It's all in that doap.arc file.

Did you try to extract this animation?

That is an encrypted file and I just could not figure out how to extract content from it.

I am aware of the model from Warriors All-Stars. It is a bit too anime to fit in DOA in my opinion. The Paradise model looks more like it could fit into DOA.

I have been able to extract both the models and the animations from the ISO. I used Fatduck's BMS script to extract most of the items from the doap.arc file. I have not been able to test the animations yet because I cannot even import the body meshes yet. I can provide links to all of the files that I have been able to extract, including the models and animations. I will also attach Fatduck's BMS script for quickbms.

Thanks Combath, it's really a big help for me. There are some very good dance animations there and maybe we can port over to DOA5LR.  I believe Priss10 is working on this already so I will focus on my MMD import issues. But I will take a look of models import and see if I can help you on that.

Thanks again for your help.

Just to save you some time, all of the animations, from what I am aware of, are in the bin folder from the mediafire link that I provided. They are in a .mot file format, which I don't know much about. I am sure that someone else will get some use out of them, especially in the Beach Paradise mod -wink,wink.

Thank!  Yes, I remember Beach Paradise Team tried to import those animations to their project but I don't know what's their current status. They were trying to use Blender Bone Re-targeting tool to accomplish that. I think they stopped working on BP right now.

Thank you, combathasbeenevolved! I think that your information and files will be very useful. But can you specify at what stage you stopped and what exactly did you fail?

I initially stopped when I could not import any of the models. I have been asking around and not many people were really interested in the models or animations, or it has been a long time since those people worked with the said files. DOA Paradise reached its peak around the 2011-2013 era, especially on Xentax. Some have even stopped posting anything at all like Fatduck. The only models that I was able to view were some of the heads (although a bit messed up) and some of the swimsuits. Since I was not able to import any of the body meshes, I could not properly view the animations. The importer that I used was last updated in 2013 for 3DS Max. So, since it was already outdated, it really didn't work too well, at least for me. If someone knows of a script for Blender or Noesis, it would be very beneficial to me and anyone else who is interested in the animations or the models. It would however make more sense to make a python script for Blender since the DOA5LR tools are already for Blender. Really, all I want to find is Rio's model since she was not in Xtreme 2 and some of the new swimsuits not previously in X2. I have an idea of maybe porting over the X2/DOA4 models over to DOA5LR to see what happens and how they look. Regardless, I hope that someone here (or somewhere else, it really doesn't matter) gets some use out of the files, and maybe in turn, I can have my problems resolved with further research or new tools.

Recently someone wrote about the new animation in BP6.0. Maybe it's from Paradise?

That would be exciting to see if someone has figured out how to convert Paradise anims over to DOA5LR. From what I am aware of, I am one of the few people that has made multiple posts/thread/topic on Paradise most likely because it was a PSP game, and since DOAX3 came out with smoother animations. I am not saying that Paradise isn't mentioned at all, it is just rarely mentioned at least from what I have seen. Beach Paradise (the mod) has been around for about two years, but the animations were added last year when Harry Palmer figured out how to convert DOAX3 anims over to DOA5LR. I do hope that Paradise animations are added to the mod since there were exclusive movements there. They would make excellent Private Paradise movies, of course being smoothed to 60fps.

If so, then I do not see any reason to do the work that has already been done. (
