How do I reposition the wedding ring in outfit studio?

Load the female hand a reference, load the ring mesh as an outfit, highlight the ring in the mesh list, right click and choose move, adjust the ring via the x,y, and z axis points to line up where you want it... Lastly highlight the hand and find only the bones for that finger (high light each by holding the ctrl button and clicking on the bone). Then go back to the mesh list, highlight the ring and choose "Copy Selected Weights". This will re-do the weights for the new location (so it shouldn't mess up in any animation).

Lastly export - export nif and replace the old ring mesh.

If I want my female character to wear the bride ring and the vanilla wedding ring on the same finger, how do I do that?

All the steps from above but add in "import nif" and load the worn ring (then adjust one of the two with the move function so they don't overlap).

This will give you both rings, then export as a single nif to the clothes\ring folder as wornring.nif.

There is a second way...

Load first ring as an outfit (either ring doesn't matter).

Then load the second ring as an outfit (and put a check in the checkbox "keep other shapes" which is 2 lines under the outfit/mesh browse button). This will put both rings in the outfit as well...

I typically just import the second nif (does the same thing).

Now if you want to get really fancy...

Install HN66's nails package, and copy the one set you like to the femalehands.nif in the character assets folder.

That will give every female (raiders, ghouls, npc's, you name it) a set of fingernails.

You just have to figure out which ones to use.

I used the meshes\HN66FO4\Nails\34_35_Nails2_FrenchWhite.nif.

You can copy and paste the set into the meshes\actors\character\characterassets\ location then rename them to FemaleHands.nif... Or open 34_35_Nails2_FrenchWhite.nif in nifscope then save them as femalehands.nif in the correct folder.

All texture swaps (which are used to load dirty, ghoul, old, etc textures) will still work as they look for the material file the hands point to (which is the same in both nifs).
