Dawnguard Vampire Eyes

Is there anyone that can upload the the vampire eye files from Dawnguard? Not certain if it's because I'd modded vamp eye files previously or not, but mine seen to be stuck with that, and would like to rectify it. Thanks!

While I wish this worked, it's a no go. Just the same old eye files. Don't know why installing Dawnguard didn't overwrite older vampire eye files, or toss something in as the new vampire eyes. Seems strange in general that they wouldn't change vs calling on an old file. Even with removing said files, it just alternates to one of the other eye files.

So as a followup..seems like it may be a Breton racial issue; at least in my game it appears that the eyes default to the eyehazelbrown.dds file instead of vampire_02.dds as they should, when playing as a Breton archer. Narrowed this down after ages of mucking around with removing eye mods and attempting to replace various eye colors with Xenius' improvement on the Dawnguard eyes as a tester.

 

Oddly, replacing the vampire_02.dds file I don't *think* changes the various NPCs @ Castle Volkihar to the new vampire eye file either though. Neither deleting the eyes texture folder entirely and/or running file check through Steam was a fix.

Yep. Own everything legitimately and I am indeed a VL! Luckily Xenius' eye file is sticking, since the hazelbrown was the one mentioned that is weirdly acting as default on this Breton character. I haven't tried it as another race, though I've heard Nords have some kind of issue with appearance? Now I am just trying to figure out what is causing vampires seduction to not pop up the feed option and stick to mere pickpocketing. In honor of DG's bugs, my current save is now labeled as..ConsoleGuard ;D

Better vampires is not incompatible with dawnguard, quite the contrary actually. If you are having problem you might try chacking your other mods and load order.

Better vampires is not incompatible with dawnguard, quite the contrary actually. If you are having problem you might try chacking your other mods and load order.

well not so much as incompatible but as the feature that allows you to keep your appearance messes up the feeding option on dead and sleeping people which ultimately ends up with me getting attacked by people/vampires(my own people) even with the never hated option

It is very important you follow the directions in the read me for first time users. I had problems to because I failed to follow the directions. Once I followed them the mod and its features run great. Heres the read me:

 

1) Delete any and all other vampire modification mods first, if you remove them later on some of my scripts will be removed and replaced with vanilla Skyrim versions

2) Install my mod (make sure it is installed after any appearance or customized race mods, say yes to replace any and all files)

3) Please make sure you rest for a day and feed to change your stage progression for this mod to kick in fully (use the “Use a Custom Race” menu option if you want to play as a customized race or maintain appearance; rest for 3 days to let Sanguinare Vampiris overtake you)

4) Look for {Customize or Reset Better Vampires Mod} at the bottom of your Powers Menu to play your Vampire your way!

5) Please feed or wait 24hr after you make your selections to advance a stage of vampirism and have the choices kick in.

there's also a mod out there that removes dirt from vamp faces, problem is that with dawnguard it's also removing vamp eyes as well

 

i have the same issue, just havnt cared enough to try fixing it

I had non-glowing vampire eyes for the longest time, and it annoyed the heck out of me. After messing around with my plugins, I found the problem was with the Extended Colour Sliders mod. With that completely disabled, vampire eyes should work correctly.

As for vampire problems with custom races, usually I have to take it a step further then most by actually editing the original race and turning it into a fully flagged vampire race. Most custom races come with a secondary vampire race just like the vanilla Nord, Breton, etc. races do. Sadly, the game has no script telling it that you've become a vampire and should now look at your custom race vampire version rather then the normal one.

 

Feed bugs can still persist depending on the race though, and that part is always tricky to completely stamp out with a custom race. I can say that I've successfully changed both Temptress and Yaksha races into NPC recognized vampires in Dawnguard using the above method.

My problem is all females that arent Elves, Khajiit, Argonians, OR Serana have brown/hazel eyes as Vampire Lords. Its.. Its breaking the fun of the game for me

 

 

 

 

I had Eyes of Beauty, and ive deleted it and its files and i still get the problem.

 

EDIT: I even deleted the entire textures folder and my problem is still there.

Found it yesterday when playing as a breton and not having correct eyes. It now works properly
