Guest k11k27y21k11 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Everytime I try to alter someones race or change there skin tone, in game their bodies color is what it used to be? Is there a way around this in the geck?
Ark of Truth Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 If you don't hit apply after each change it doesn't save it.
Jumbalow Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Do you mean the head changes, but the body itself stays the same? I have that issue as well, and it only seems to work if I change the .esp to a .esm.
prideslayer Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 That's a known issue in the gamebryo engine. If you want to change body textures in your mod, you need it to be an ESM.
prideslayer Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Different issue entirely. He probably already has his own custom race or something.
prideslayer Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Take your full load order list that you're testing with into FNVEdit and look at his _NPC record. It's also possible that a mod that's loading later is also editing his record, which will undo any changes you've done. If it's an ESM you can load yours afterward so it takes effect. If it's an ESP there's little you can do other than releasing your mod as an ESM and an ESP, and have your ESP override your ESM with all identical records. This is one of the many reasons we try to avoid modifying vanilla records as much as possible.
nightdweller7 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Have you tried it with a new game? It could be your save file if an NPC is already loaded, sometimes fast travelling to another location can work, or load an earlier save before you meet the NPC.
