ChokingHazard Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Does setting the god ray detail level to ultra really have a devastating effect on your framerate? If I'm running 2-way SLI GTX 1080, would I be able to get away with ultra godrays at 1920x1080? With all of the other settings set as high as they can go as well?
nIn nIn nIn Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Do you have 2 1080's? Or are you merely speculating? SLI scaling doesn't work in most games, and it's way too expensive for mere mortals to experiment. I have a single 1080, and game at 2560 x 1440 resolution (my monitors native resolution). God rays at any level has a negative effect on frame rates. Even with a 1080, I can't run it using ultra settings.
