ENB "Grass" Distance Settings

Well, as I play my game(s), the grass (et al) goes off about halfway into the distance, then turns to "dirt".  Would someone be kind enough to let me know what settings I need to change in which ini's so that I've got some bloody ground cover? I've got a i7-7700k w/16G and a 1080, so I would think I could ramp it up a bit more than what I've currently got. Also, waterfalls and shit also don't animate until I'm practically on top of them. I'm finding all this a bit annoying.

Thanks for any assistance.  :)

Personally I just keep my ugrids on 5 default and put up a decent depth of field that blurs the distant vista. The DOFs from Snapdragon and Rudy are prime examples. It takes my mind off how horrendous the horizon looks without compromising significant performance, resources best allocated for other things in Skyrim I deem more important. To each their own.

Thanks for that info! I'd forgotten about ugrids, although I don't really know what I'm doing with them anyway. :D

While I like DOF as it looks cool and shit, human eyes don't work like a cameras, so I never really used it. With that being said, your point is well taken and a good reason for me to start using DOF now. Think I'll try 7 and see that that looks as well...then prolly go back to 5 as you did.

BTW, I've never messed with the ENB GUI, so how does one "put up a decent depth of field that blurs the distant vista"?  Or are those settings somewhere in one of the ini's and could you suggest settings?

Oh, that's right.  There isn't an actual tutorial on how to switch DOF between various ENBs.  I found this out by screwing around with the files.  I opened other standalone DOF mods and they only include the files enbeffectprepass.fx and enbeffectprepass.fx.ini to go in the enbseries folder.  So I put two and two together and just started grabbing the same files from other ENBs and replaced them.  So far it looks like this is the correct method for switching DOFs.

You know, that was a great idea that I hadn't thought of...using the prepass.fx.ini file from another ENB. The ENB I'm using, TrueVision, I think is very good, but the DOF seems a bit weak (all the prepass said was "technique=0", which basically means nothing happens). So I used the prepass.fx.ini from another and the combo looks great!  Thanks for that fantastic idea!

So with the uGrids at 7/64 and this DOF / ENB combo, I think I'm gold!  Really, thanks again...this looks pretty f'ing great!

You're welcome.  Remember, Shift + F7 is the hotkey to toggle DOF on and off so use this to see the horizon if you really need to.
