Nat following Piper glitch

I've run into an issue where Nat has become broken in my game. She doesn't do any of her normal routine, she just follows Piper around. Which is kind of annoying, if I want to use her as a companion. It seems to be related to a scene that's supposed to happen with Nat greeting Piper and them having a little conversation, that somehow breaks and never actually plays out. Google has unearthed a few scattered reports of the problem, but no way to fix it.

 

I've so far been unable to find a console command or other workaround that fixes it. The best I've been able to manage is just dragging her back to Publick Occurrences, then selecting her in the console and toggling her ai off. Then, at least, she just stays there staring at a wall like a zombie for all eternity. It's not the cleanest solution, but it works.

 

Wondering if anyone else here has had this problem, and figured out a way to solve it.
