 Here y'go - this covers some of the basics:

YouTube - "How to Create a Follower" by DarkFox127

ALSO!

When taking screenshots to use for your follower mod, don't rush. Stop, & think about what you're doing - background, lighting, etc.

Three console commands to remember:

- "tfc 1" pauses the game

- "sucsm 1" makes moving the camera MUCH easier. Try other numbers for other movement speeds.

- "tm" hides the UI

*Remember to hit " ~ " again after you've typed the "tm" command to move back OUT of console, otherwise your shots will not be taken. Also remember to always return your display to normal before exiting the game (ie: make sure it's un-paused, and the UI is visible - also return FOV to default, or to whatever other setting you're using if you want or need to).

 For a moment, I couldn't find it either. But it seems to be there.

- Open Steam.

- Go to "Library"

- From the drop-down menu, select "Tools"

- It should be there - it may possibly be in a separate section, labelled "Favourites", at the top of the list.

does anyone have a copy of the ck that they can upload? xD

No, as that is against this sites TOS.

Did you try looking in your Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\ folder for CreationKit.exe and double clicking on it.

If you say you see it in your tools library does it say "ready to play" next to it or "not installed". You do have to install it for it to work.

Worst case: Uninstall the creation kit and then reinstall it. If that fails the open a ticket with steam as something is broken.

k next question, how would i just make my main current character as a follower, id rather not start new, but instead just edit something that is already to my preference

 *DING!* It's easy! :)

Here's how:

- Open up your game.

- Log into your main, or whichever character you're wanting to use as the basis for your follower.

- Once you've loaded the save, enter the console.

- Type "spf thenameyouwanttousehere". This will create an .npc file in your Skyrim folder.

- Exit the game.

- Go to your Skyrim folder, make sure the .npc file is there. If not, rinse & repeat back to this point again.

- Now, *TEMPORARILY* remove the "tintmasks" folder (don't worry - we'll put it back when we're done!). Make a copy of it on your desktop just in case anything happens. This will allow you to avoid the annoying "coloured forehead", "uppereyesocket", "speckled forehead" bugs and others.

- Open up your CK.

- Now, when you're following that follower creation video-tutorial posted earlier, when you get to the part about adjusting the appearance in the Character Gen Parts & Morphs panels, pause.

- At the top-right of the Character Gen Parts panel, you will notice a clickable "IMPORT" button. Click it, navigate through to your Skyrim folder in the popup window which will appear, and select the .npc file you made. This will "import" the face gen information from that file into your new follower.

- Make whatever other changes you need to make (inventory, etc.). When you're done, hit "Okay".

- Now, locate your new follower in the "Actors" list in the "Object Window". Click on the name ONCE to highlight it, and press "CTRL+F4" to "Export" the facegen. You will be prompted to continue, and notified when it's done. This may take a moment.

- From the "File" drop-down menu, select "save". Pick a name for your new follower's .esp.

- Exit the CK.

- Put your "tintmasks" folder BACK where you found it!!!

- Open up your Nexus Mod Manager. Locate the new .esp you made in the "Plugins" list. Double-click it to make sure it is selected to load.

- Load up your game, head to the location you parked the new follower in, etc.

*Note that some voice types do not appear to fully support follower creation, or at least may require significant monkeying around to get any speech at all. This may require trial & error on your part.

Don't rush! Take the time to really get your follower to the point where you're HAPPY with it - test them out in game, see what they can do, tweak their looks & gear, etc.
