Bleplord Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Hiya, I've been working on my Oblivion install for a little over a month now (Trying to diagnose and deal with crashes up the wazoo, as one does when dealing with this unstable trainwreck of a game), and I've hit a little bit of a snag. My saved games will work just fine for about 6 and a half hours of play time before some major crashing issue comes up and forces me to start a new game. I'm at the point where I have absolutely no idea what's causing it (and doing the old 'remove five mods at a time until it stops crashing' trick tends to cause it to crash before I can even load my save), and no way to diagnose it. Would someone more versed in modding be able to help me out with this? Let There Be Darkness - Cyrodiil.esp=1Let There Be Darkness - Cyrodiil + SI.esp=1 Think this is Cyrodiil AND SI , so you don't need the Cyrodiil version. .......................................... WH Armor.esp sounds like an armor Mod, should be much higher in load order. All Mods BOSS don't know you must sort manually. Do not leave the unsorted mods at the end of your load order. Also up in load order: BettysAsianRoofs.esp, Holy Amulets of the Divines.esp, ArmorOfMythologi.esp,..... ...................... Mods cleaned with TES4Edit? ........................ azoth1267 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Been a long time since i last played/modded oblivion... but the first thing that comes to mind is that you have a large amount of mods. What was the limit in oblivion? iirc skyrim is something around 250 or so. iirc, you can actually play the game with more than what the limit should allow, but it will become very unstable and/or just completely broken. Might not fix your problems op, but its a step in the right direction, that being to slim down the list a bit.

fejeena Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 254 is max ( 255 = Hexadecimal number FF ) Oblivion esm (00) + 254 esm/esp. The 255 (FF) must be free, the game use it for in game created objects ( summon, duplicated objects and NPCs) But in Bleplords load order are many Mods not active, he has less than 255 active esm/esp. (but it's always better to keep the data folder clean and delete unused esp and esm )
