Weird move teleport.

Hello everyone, it's me, Soulinor again bringing another strange bug that I can not solve. This time the bug is of a type that can not be represented by prints, so I used it from my youtube channel (created just for purposes like this) to be able to show a video focused on demonstrating the problem.

Basically when I walk or run, whether normal or furtive, my character runs small teleports in the direction she is facing, it is not a problem of low FPS, I play with FPS low for a long time and never had it, HDT hair demonstrates that there really is a problem in moving, as if it were just FPS it would not be crazy like that.

I just reinstalled the entire skyrim and for the first time I'm using FNIS XXL because the normal does not set the funnybizpack, otherwise I can not think of anything new that I can cause the problem, would anyone have any idea?

Ps: I once took damage by teleporting face to face on a wall.
Ps2: Once the game crashed when I ran ahead without thinking of anything else just to see the limit of the bug.

That's a real funny argumentation. Because you have never seen it before it must be a bug. :)

Low FPS is not the cause of your issues. Low FPS is one of many impacts of your main problem: your PC is too weak to run Skyrim in its current environment. And so are the 2 Havok issues you show in your video.

  • teleport: your PC is too slow to load animations in time. By the time they are loaded the system realizes based on the parameters of the animations that the character should already be somewhere else. And that's when the player is moved in a way that looks like teleport. The system ALWAYS does this. Only that you don't see it when performance is reasonable.

  • HDT: Because the player moved so quickly in this "teleport", the HDT assumes that your character was moving extremely fast. And therefore the hair moves extremely as well when the player's movement gets back to normal speed again. Just the consequence of ole Newton's Inertia Law.

I agree with the HDT part, but the teleport is moving me literally faster than normal, I will do another video, this in the region of alternated start) so you can compare the normal speed with which I am moving.

The alternated start live another live prison is a popular mod, so will be easyer to see the diference in walk speed here. I usually take around 1,5 seconds for walk from one side to another in this prison, but with the bug sometimes is possible to do it in less than 0,5 second. Skyrim was running between 15-20 FPS(calculed by FRAPS) and the video 50fps.

Bad news, for me, of course. I tried to use normal FNIS (for that I removed the funnybyz folder). Being for leaving the skyrim lighter or any other reason the bug is gone. I am really sad because I wanted the animations there, but at the moment being because of my machine can not stand or any other reason I will need to play without them.

Thanls for the attention fore.Your mod is wonderful (you know it but I wanted to reinforce it). Even though I followed all the advice you gave me in this post (I deleted some 20 complex mods for try to raise my FPS) I still did not accept because the weakness of my machine is the video card, my memory and my SSD are high and should not let that bug happen only because my Mods are heavy. I know I was only 1 with this problem, but it might be interesting to investigate this a bit.

You can make as many videos as you like. I won't follow your argumentation.

Movement is a matter of the engine, not of the behaviors or animations. There is no way you can cause teleportation during standard animations except by using a Papyrus call.

And I see no reason in searching a "bug" when an overloaded system reacts different than the plagued user is used to. Skyrim wasn't intended to run under such conditions.

I recommend that you make your Skyrim better suited for the power of your System:

  • Don't use performance gluttons. Hair HDT, FNIS XXL I see. You probably use ENB and HD textures as well?

  • Don't uninstall/deactivate script mods. Use script cleaners. Switch OFF the Papyrus lo (Costs a LOT of performance when you have many errors because of ghost scripts)?

  • Optimize your WIndows virtual memory. I'm not a Windows expert. But in Windows 8 the standard virtual memory setting was in a way that you wouldn't get the maximum possible memopry assigned (which is something like 3,2 GB anyway). And this setting caused the maximum memory to be reduced again by programs running in the background. E.g. the browser which I usually have running with about 20 open tabs. Don't ask me what this setting was in Win8, because I cant find it anymore win Win10.

Yeah, i am plagued user, sorry about that is not intentional. About ENB and HD textures, I do not know if I use it, all in one HDT mod does it for me, and whenever I can choose the video quality of something I choose the smaller one.

thanks for the advice about scripts, i will do it.

I will search about virtual memory, my phisical memory is good but i don't know about virtual, and i am using win 10.

If you don't know what ENB is, at least get ENBoost. It's a requirement for using ENBs which improve graphics, but you don't need the graphic enhancements to use ENBoost. And especially if your hardware is good, that will increase your performance a lot.

Also try crash fixes, that should improve script performance.

Then... do you possibly have any mods that increase movement speed? That would explain some things.

i tryed to get ENB(a few minutes ago), i got injector and vramsize, but don't find a dl link for the series itself.

About ENBoost, it says that ENB series is required, that is why i didin't dl it yet.

My hardware is good, except by my graphic card.

I have no mods for increase my move speed, i dislike that kind of mod.

About virtual memory, when i run vramsize from ENB it told me i have 3360 of memory for games.(total of 8mb phisical memory.

http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrim.html here you get what you need, i think the 0.315 version is the proper one (i have 3.05 but didn't update in ages). With win 10 you can set VRAM usage at least to 4064, i'm not sure if the general advice to set it to [ physical VRAM + physical RAM - 2048 ] would work since there is a bug in win 10, but it would be at least a slight improvement. :)

Download button is at the end when you click at the version you want to use.

*edt: wait, your graphic card isn't good but has 8GB? VRAM? VRAM is not the same as RAM, one is the memory of your graphics card, one is the other memory. Anyways, with ENboost you can force your computer to use at least the 4064mb supported by win 10 for DX9. At least if it was a mistake and you have more than 8mb physical RAM. ;)

Read/watch any of the according tutorials, i only remember i had some problems getting it to work at the beginning, not exactly which, though. In case of doubts it has it's own forum where you can ask questions: http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/

It's also possible to set the used cores/threads it should use and some other stuff, but i'm really no expert here... ask anybody else if you want to do that. Atm i'm not even sure if that setting is for CPU or GPU. ;)

You know it works when there is a message in red during the Beth logo that it uses memory patches & graphic patches are off. I would at least see that this works before you turn graphics on and use an ENB, you can do that any time later.

I got it a few hours later, already see the logo so it is working, my phisical memory is 8mb, my vram is 3360(calculed by ENB) my graphic card get phisical memory for increse his permance by it own(tryed to overclock but my bios don't let me since it is auto)
