Zeral1 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I am fairly new to modding in general and do not have much experience at all, I have of course been reading up on all the programs I need and such and got most of it to work. But still. it is a bit unstable, maybe it is my load order or may unstable mods. I have tried to avoid more skill required mods. Game is working and most mods work just fine, just that for example I always need to load a "safe" save before loading any other saves (safe save means all mods activated but not in the use at the moment). Sounds like a problem with loading order? Wondering if someone can help me out some? Edit: Not only with loading order but also good mods to have, just in case I missed some! XD
poblivion Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I too have a similar problem sometimes, very helpful to me: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78557/? If it does not help clear the saved game with this program "SaveTool" http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? Good luck
Zeral1 Posted July 27, 2017 Author Posted July 27, 2017 Thanks, using NMM though, did not even know there was different programs until I discovered modding in general. Started a bit with Fallout 4 but got really excited when I saw how much effort people put into to mod Skyrim! Just feel like a complete noob stumbling in the dark! XD Been watching youtube videos and read many "how to" posts. Guess that is why I even got it to work! XD Feels like I am missing out on so many small details though! XD Edit Edit: just realized it was a NMM mod you showed me! I just assumed it was a different program!! Lol so sorry! I will check it out!

XD if your mod count is low, I do recommend switching over to Mod Organizer. It's a little bit more complex, but once you understand how it works, its much easier to diagnose problems or tweak things to your liking. One of its major stregnths is that it keeps each mod seperate from each other and the games folder, so if you want to prioritize a mod over another, you change the order in MO instead of having to install something ontop of something else

XD I have figured out how to get most of them to work together by trial and error. Some mistakes was hilarious! But meh anyway not to get sidetracked... Since my "problem" (the " " is because well, I got it to work, but still feels like i am missing something), I am doing something wrong, seems a bit to glitchy then it is supposed to) XD
Zeral1 Posted July 27, 2017 Author Posted July 27, 2017 Sorry for bothering all, just that some, (almost all!) of the mods I seen for Skyrim made me really want to try out what is possible. So I went from being almost completely unaware about the modding community to want to learn how to do it properly.

So I went from being almost completely unaware about the modding community to want to learn how to do it properly. everyone starts at that point. the only reason why im usually more pushy with MO was because I lost my first save(a long time ago) due to mods breaking(before helpful tools were released, like save game editors) and debugging via NMM is hard. In the land of skyrim, 50 mods IMO is pretty tame, given that it probably has the most amount of mods
