Mr.Fauncy Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 http://imgur.com/a/0Z4iv So this monstrosity was supposed to be Bijin's warmaiden Aela, but instead I get this. I've tried everything but I'm stumped. I looked on TES5edit, and the only files that conflicted with Aela under the Bijin file was the skyrim.esm, USLEEP.esm, UFO.esm, ESF Companions.esm. I tried disabling ESF Companions, no go. Still ugly Aela. I've brought Bijin Warmaiden to the very bottom of the loadorder, still hideous. I've checked with the rest of the Bijin girls, all beautified. Here's what I noticed, the other companion woman Ria was also affected when the Bijin file was above ESF Companions, giving her the vanilla appearance, and was only beautified when I loaded Bijin after ESF Companions. But Aela remained untouched. Is there anyone out there that can give her the plastic surgery she needs?
Mr.Fauncy Posted July 22, 2017 Author Posted July 22, 2017 Updated: I went ahead and disabled nearly every ESM except the community bug patches and alternate start - live another life. New game, but Aela still looks like that. So I am truly at a loss here.
carlfatal Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 I definatly have no clue. I am using Bijin since years at the very bottom of my load order, and everything is fine. Maybe you should download the file again, maybe your one is broken. Sometimes this can happen while downloading. And I would suggest to use AFT instead of the old, outdated UFO.

I don't think it's Bijin because I disabled just about everything (disabled the plugins) and the issue still arose. Also I already have alot of saved games that used UFO. Is it safe for me to uninstall UFO and install AFT in it's place? Edit: Okay, I actually disabled bijin by NMM and boom, vanilla Aela restored. Now to figure out which is the problem file!
carlfatal Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 It is never the best solution to change mods during a game. But it is possible if you follow my advice here. If you want to change, you should first dismiss all your followers. Then deactivate UFO ingame (if possible). Then save in a small cell. Leave the game, open save tool and delete all forms and script related to UFO (Look on the modlist in Save Cleaner/Save Tool (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? for example). Go back into your game, load, save, and leave the game again. Kick all saves out of the save game folder exept the last one. Now install AFT, load your last save, and everything should be fine.

That's what I was thinking yep. I'll try it out later, after I fix this Aela issue. I went ahead and redownloaded Bijin Warmaidens, and activating only that esp, Ria is beautified but Aela became ugly again..Now I'm stumped again.
carlfatal Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 This issue sounds totally strange. But you can use another Aela mod and load it after Bijin. I do this with Lydia, it overwrites the one from Bijin, that is not to my like.

For now, I'm just hoping someone on here can figure this out with me.
allsunday Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I don't know if this will help but I had a similar problem like this before with Aela... and I just manually grabbed Aela's facegeom and facetint out of the Bijin Warmaiden's mod and forcefully threw it into the correct spot in my Skyrim Data folder. Heck, just grab Aela's whole folder from Bijin Warmaiden's and overwrite errthang. Just be sure to make a copy of the original folder so you can undo the changes if it turns out more messed up than before. You never know. But it's such an easy procedure to do and undo you might as well try it. This also happened yet again when I forgot to add an exception to Bijin Warmaidens for playing with Requiem (but you're probably not using Requiem).

I know some people who had issues with this, will be quoting you. Thanks again hero. Edit: Going further in, it would seem my old save files have the ugly Aela, but the newer ones are beautified. Not a big issue to me though. Edit again: So doing some more troubleshooting, turns it I don't have to do it manually. Activating the files on NMM is good to go, it turns out it's a save file issue because I get beautified Aela's on my older files. But now her lips aren't moving. Edit last time: So finally I've come to the conclusion that when using NPC replacers you should start a new game or else bugs like this will happen. So it wasn't due to any bugs but just the way it is.
