Creating mods

Hi guys, I just entered the world of skyrim mods and I have to say that it's awesome, recently I even began thinking about making my own mods so I researched what did I need.

I downloaded the creation tools but it's very confusing, anyone got a nice tutorial about how to create mods with this tool?

Another thing, I came upon this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35908/? , would it be difficult to make rings that affect other areas?

Thanks in advance!

First tip for anyone wanting to use the creation kit based on my own (limited but still) experience: save all the fuckin time lol. I'm sure it's not just me that has a ck crash every 15 minutes or less and it sucks bad when you just painstakingly placed a bunch of stuff or edited a bunch in an esp. Also check Youtube, there's a bunch of stuff on the ck there and having a video showing exactly what the person is talking about on screen really helps get the controls and basics down (like camera controls, or refreshing the render window (which is f5, for if stuff you placed goes invisible for some reason which happens all the time for me and i still don't know why))

This is probably due to a known audio issue with the creation kit in newer versions of Windows.

Set bEnableAudio to 0 in your SkyrimEditor.ini file and it should fix the crash that happens every 10-15 minutes.

Still a good idea to save often though.
