chajapa Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 New to scenes. I have the player in a scene, and player performs as expected EXCEPT... none of his lines show up. A scene I made between 2 NPCs works fine. All dialogue shows up. Force Subtitles is ticked. The NPC in this scene with him works fine. Her lines show up. His LIPS MOVE, and he performs an idle I set in the dialogue, but the subtitles don't show up. I even went as far as creating dialogue topics just for his dialogue in this scene, and assigned him a package using "Say" template. Nope. Didn't work... force subtitles are ON in the package as well. What the hell kind of hoops do you have to jump though to make this work? I can probably DO the scenes without player dialogue, but would be much more interesting WITH it. CK is maddening... why would they make it work differently for the player than for an NPC?
Guest Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 The Player in Skyrim does not speak. So dialogues for him/her will never show.
chajapa Posted July 12, 2017 Author Posted July 12, 2017 The Player in Skyrim does not speak. So dialogues for him/her will never show. Well... that sucks. I can make him have sex but I can't make him talk... oh well, time to rethink the scenes...
Guest Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 You can always add an invisible actor and use it for the dialogues. In scenes, it is really easy to do.
