Ob Master Adam Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 All of the Lovers mods that involve creatures having sexual organs HAS to have the Shivering patch for the game. I don't have Shivering Isles, therefore I can't download them. So I was wondering if somebody could help. Is there any mod that only edits the vanilla creatures in Oblivion itself, without the use of Shivering Isles? I really, really need it for my game. (My female character gets raped by lots of monsters >.<) This included every animal and creature in Oblivion, excluding the ones from SI. So if anyone has a link to something that can be used alongside Joburg please post it here. Thanks in advance!
Lilalu Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Guess 'download' is not the right section for this question. But welcome to the forum. Don't really understand it - my LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp only lists oblivion.esm as master, so I would think it would work without shivering isles - but to be honest I haven't tried without. If this is not true you can try to delete shivering creatures via Tes4Edit, remove master via Wrye Bash and then load into CS and save.
gregathit Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Moving this out of the download section to the technical support section. To answer your question (and Lilalu's) Shivering isles is needed mostly for the meshes/textures/sounds that it has. Without those you will either crash or have a bunch of screwed up in your game. Yes, it is possible to edit out all the references (or change them) but you would have to go through all the esp/ems files and that would likely take a F'ing ton of hours. You would also need to adjust the scripts. Trust me when I say that unless you are very experienced with the CS, Tes4edit and scripting, then this is not a real option. Buy the GOTY version of oblivion and be done with it. If you watch for sales you can pick it up for 10 to 15 bucks US (you just missed the steam sale).

Where can I find the link to this? I downloaded the .7z for LoversCreature but it wasn't there.

Because Bethesda no longer sells the DLC seperately. Buying the GOTY version is now the only way to legally get the shivering isles dlc. Sucks, but what can you do? Lovers sexual organs can be downloaded from here: http://www.4shared.com/folder/RSdj43o8/ForGentleman.html
GMac2021 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Why would I want to replace a game I already have? It's good enough as is. But thank you for the tip. I bought my copy of GOTY for under 10 bucks at Future Shop. There's a chain store in Canada that has used copies for sale for less. I forget the name of the chain - sorry. EBGames, perhaps? "Because Why?" answer #2: Spending $10 on GOTY - even if its used - will save you a LOT of grief, and a lot of time. I have over $100 invested in my PS3 version of Oblivion (horse armor FTW!) and I never play it anymore. I can't even look at it now - its so bloody ugly. I only wish I bought the PC version five years ago. You can probably get the GOTY version for free if you're willing to barter a bit...
