loopie Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Hi all I never used ECE, tried it, but I always use racemenu and when I installed ECE, drama happened in my game, so I removed it and went back to racemenu. Now, I see a bunch of ECE presets everywhere that people share and I'd like to use them, thats why I wanted to try ECE, but it didn't work out. So my question is, how exactly and precisely, step by step, do I use the ECE presets in my racemenu ? Is it possible ? Thanks
Pauduan Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 ECE comes with its own head mesh. RM ships by default without one. However once the facegen is exported by CK the NPC heads should be constant regardless of this change. This means that most NPCs should retain their normal facial structure. The PC is a whole other story and it messes up the head very badly. When switching between RM and ECE, you can retain the ECE head mesh. Manually placing the file in meshes/actors/character/character assets will be enough (if you open the archive in 7-zip, you will find this file femalehead.nif in the directory tree). This will allow most presets to stay close to the original modder's version. Another way to do it is to download the ECE preset or head mesh, import or open in Racemenu anyway, then manually edit the face using either sliders or sculpt (I find a combination of the two works best). This will take a bit longer but you will learn more. You will find that an ECE preset will have sunken cheeks and extended chin areas when imported into RM and using the default head mesh.
Guest Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Its easy. Install ece, Load preset, save head mesh and do a save game, install racemenu and ONLY DISABLE ece esp but not character enhancer, go ingame, load save game, load head, save preset and head with racemenu, deinstall ece and load with racemenu, ready One more option but much more time consuming is open the .slot preset of ece of your choice with notepad++ and you will see all values for the sliders, then go remake it with rm.

This works 100% ? i will try to use the second way you said, seems the sliders are very similar, if i got good result i will let you guys know :p
mikairu Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 For Special Edition Export Head function(F1 key) cannot be used. Slot data is compatible with LE version. from Skyrim AE then changes to SE and eventually im installing razor's oldrim (cuz nope, i aint wasting money for that sht again) just to convert ece to racemenu its been 5 years and there is no quick solution for this problem
DeathFX Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29954?tab=files&file_id=111373 This should work. There's still no quick solution, but it's better than no solution at all.
