SinisterPoem Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Well, not MY boobs, to be exact, but my followers'. I happened upon a bbw custom companion mod on nexus fittingly titled "Lofen the Stout", which adds a fully standalone, with own clothing (as any other ones'd just turn her into a normal NPC being). I vividly remember her boobs used to jiggle. At that point all was still well, but I decided that I want to play around with how the mod's built in Creation Kit, and, alas, during required reinstalation of the creation kit (why was it required Gabe didn't see fit to explain) steam graciously decided to delete most of the vital files in the skyrim directory (my mod organiser files as well, which I foolishly placed in a directory accesible by steam). Time jump to now, 2 days later, after I painstakingly managed to restore law and order to my skyrim, however Lofen's boobs are unmoving, for the lack of a better word. On a side note, all other armors/bodies are jiggling as intended. I think it's probably some silly problem with mod order, since the mod composition is basically the same as it was back when all still worked. Honestly though, I've run out of patience with this game and the headaches it's modding brings with it. Hence, I'd like to ask for your help, kind modders and skyrim lovers, and hope I'm not imposing on you too much. WraithSlayer Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 If the mod has an install wizard, make sure you pick a body with HDT support. You may also want to overwrite the mod-included skeleton with the one from XPMSE.
SinisterPoem Posted July 10, 2017 Author Posted July 10, 2017 If the mod has an install wizard, make sure you pick a body with HDT support. You may also want to overwrite the mod-included skeleton with the one from XPMSE. It doesn't have a wizard though, all it has is a single esp, meshes and textures needed to inject a follower with a different body and head mesh and 3 dedicated outfits (counting with the "naked" outfit which seems locked to be equipped, since ~unequipall leaves a normal body NPC with a big head and body/neck mismatch). I also run xpmse last just in case the mod-included skeletons were not appropriate. Honestly, I'm more suprised that it used to have jiggle than that it doesn't now, since afaik you need some xml file dedicated to body/outfit to enable HDT to work it's magic. Meanwhile this mod doesn't even have SKSE directory included. I even had to double check a video on yt which some dude recorded with this follower to make sure it's supposed to jiggle. Included, for the heck of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxhZuBhKfM4 I'm starting to think this mod is more trouble than it's worth, whatever unique bodytype it brings into the game.
macnchz Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 The skeleton in the follower mesh file does not support xml/hdt/jiggles. When I run into a follower that doesn't have HDT, I just swap out the skeleton with a comparable one (or the textures might not line up properly). OR you can make your own skeleton with Bodyslide, just make sure you are using the correct base (unp or cbbe) of the follower, and the base of your all your bodies. The best person to ask on this site is Bazinga - author of Naturalistic XML's for HDT. God Bless that man!
SinisterPoem Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 Wow, that solved the problem. Since it did work once and making a skeleton in bodyslide sounded like a pain in the ass for a "custom race" follower, I just overwrote the default ones with the one from XPMSE. Many thanks to you, friend, those tiny problems are the worst that can happen to experiencing skyrim, and you just solved one of them for me. Seriously, thanks.
