DOA: Paradise animations and DOA5: Last Round (Help Wanted)

You may or may not have noticed this if you had played the previous Dead or Alive beach games (DOAX2, DOAX1, DOA Paradise), but DOA5 as well as DOAX3 recycles a LOT of content, mostly animations. Almost all the paradise animations in DOA5 were copied straight from earlier beach games. If you've used my mod, Beach Paradise, you probably also noticed that most of the animations are ripped from DOAX3.

So with all this in mind. The thought occurred to me, what's stopping me, or us, from using animations that weren't recycled from the previous DOA beach themed games? If Team Ninja does it, surely we can too, right?

I haven't actually played Paradise, but I can see quite a few animations that I'm sure people would be happy to have as gravures in Beach Paradise. Here are a few videos i found on Youtube demonstrating some dances:

Two of these dances are used in DOAX3. The infamous pole dancing scene, as well as Hitomi's poolside dance. As far as I can tell they're frame by frame exactly the same.

So pursuing this effort to bring these animations, among others to DOA5, I found plugins from Xentax forums that allow importing model and animation data into 3DS Studio MAX, among other useful plugins for old DOA games (the specific one I'm referring to being DOAP Fatimporter):

https://www.mediafire.com/?sbd2c9r8ok3u3

On that note, if you're not familiar with the DOA5 tools they can be found here, (created by Doutoko):

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/9zi2gt8dyllaj/doa5mod

Now being able to import models and animations from DOAP is great, but the process did not prove to be as simple as I thought. DOAX3 to DOA5 was very simple thanks to Doutoko's tools, as the skeleton/rigs seem to be the same. This does not appear to be the case for DOAP, so it's not as simple as just pasting them over. There is also the inconvenience of the plugins being for different editing programs. DOA5 being for Blender, and DOAP being for 3DS Max.

This is where my knowledge base ends. This kind of thing really isn't my forte'. I would not know how to go about this process of making them compatible with one another. I do not know if it is feasible for me to do, and how difficult it would be, so I am requesting the help of people more knowledgeable with animation and rigging to perhaps diagnose this situation and potentially help me figure out how to make this happen. Thank you in advance.

Here is an example of what my workspace looks like currently, with a DOAP model and animation loaded on the left in MAX, and a DOA6 model waiting for an animation in Blender on the right. Please ignore the fucked up bone location on the left as it's just a proof of concept:

It seems like we need to find the mapping of animation parameters between 3DS Max to DOA/Blender.  We need a very small sample file to test it out based on try and error.  After that just need to create a simple converter program to do the job.

Dogcookie, thank you very much for bringing our attention to this thread. We have already converted two short animations into DOA in a semi-manual mode and now want to write a converter.
And we respect the work of others and are not going to share anything until we settle all the issues with BP Team.
By the way, combathasbeenevolved joined us, so now we are working together.

Priss, you are as always a great original. Why do I accidentally find out that I've already converted something? :P

And where are you hurrying? Do you have an animation plan?

Wait for me or you'll do everything one. :@

OK. Thanks you for the answer.

But you have no questions because you are fully informed about our actions, but we do not know anything about the state of your project. You can tell if you have completed it successfully, are continuing at the moment or closed, having achieved nothing? Because we have been doing animation for a little over a month and we have no desire to waste our time trying to convert animation, which has already been converted on a much more professional level.

We have stopped working on Beach Paradise for now in anticipation of DOAXVV. We've made no significant steps towards converting the animations as the output from the rig swap utility was too messy and we didn't want to manually fix them.

Many thanks! Then we will try to convert this animation.

Maybe after a while you, in turn, convert it from DOA5 into DOAXVV.  )

Dance of Tina

I think it will be more correct to publish materials relevant to DOA Paradise, in this topic, than in the topic devoted to CE.
So, another dance from DOAP, which I called "Tina's dance", because he was in one of her gravures. His quality is worse than Lisa's dance and it's simpler, so I will not make it for the rest of the girls.
To install, copy the contents of the archive to the folder Autolink. [F11]+[F]. [F12]+[9].  To choose only Tina.
I will also remind that the speed can be changed by a combination of keys [F1]+[0]...[9],[+],[-],[N],[M].

[F1]+[Esc] - Default speed.

Just in case, I give links to other materials from DOAP:

The first DOAP animation archive:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/5f38w1xzni4ie48/DOAP_01.7z
The second DOAP animation archive:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/7zzt2d291bawoch/DOAP_02.7z
In these archives all the animation is only in CSV format!
If you do not know what it is, do not download it better... )

Dance of Lisa:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/2ocibhke59dfwxl/LisaDance.7z

Finally, I should note the undoubted contribution of Cabbas and Combathasbeenevolved to the conversion of these animation.
To both of them I give my fiery greetings. ))

P.S. By the way, I now watched the video from Youtube, the links to which in the first post was given by BPT and found there this dance - Ayane play 3. You can now compare with the original. )

My friend asked me to add Misaki to this dance. Now it is very fashionable. ) In order not to offend him, I adding Ayane. After all, if she already danced this dance so well in DOAP, why not dance it again?
In addition, I found and fixed an error in the MP3-file, because of which this bastard was playing on the player, but did not want to sound in the game.
So, archive is updated, and if Misaki is not bored by someone else and he wants to see her in this dance, download it again. Misaki choose through Ayane. No one has yet done Tina-Misaki. ( ( (

At the request of my friend in the dance of Tina were added the remaining characters of DOA5LR (of course, only female):

The next archive of animation, converted from DOA Paradise. Volleyball movements for Kasumi and Hitomi, as well as gravures of Rio (no, it's not Ryona and even not Riona), 根本不是Riona ))。There was such a girl in DOAP. Judging by her gravures, she is very cheerful and mobile, almost like me. Where she disappeared, only knows Koei Tecmo. Combat (officially combathasbeenevolved) had a desire to add her to the number of DOA characters, but so far he did not realize this idea.
All animation in the format of CSV-tables. For the most lazy - for viewing you can use the program Movie Data Tool, which can be found here:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/9zi2gt8dyllaj/doa5mod

Open an existing MPM-file, import the table into it, saved as new MPM-file and then look.
But the MPM-file should be large enough, because the tables here are large and the view may end sooner than the animation ends,
what will be sad.
As before, in files that differ only by one letter at the end, files are approximately the same content, but sometimes they are different from each other.
Yes, and more. This is not a finished animation, where you just sit and look at the screen. This can be said, a semi-finished product, where you need to actively work the camera to see something. Including looking up into the sky to see scuba diving...
So, RIO! )

Wow, I know that you are ready for anything for the sake of friends, but my participation in this project was so modest that you can not mention it in the future. And for the fiery greetings, thank you. And take in response no less fiery. :-)

Kokoro Training 2

I think this is my last animation, at least from DOAP. It was done a long time ago, but I did not share it, because thought that it would be of little interest to LL.
It's not a dance or gravure, it's Kokoro's training. We with Cabbas already had an animation, which we called Kokoro_Training, so this animation is called Kokoro_Training2. This is not a remake, it's completely different animation from DOAP, made at a high level. Kokoro training in the Qi-Gong style (although maybe I'm wrong, because I'm not familiar with this style). Strangely enough, this is the biggest animation in DOAP, its length is more than 3400 frames. And in general, Kokoro in DOAP has as many as 5! different training. She's just fine. )

I did this animation for all female characters (except Sarah), and they all do this training in different stages. Look, if you do not like the stage, you can easily change it. How to do it quickly, I once described.
https://www.loverslab.com/topic/77584-pole-dance-autolink-310-update/?do=findComment&comment=2047141

Before viewing, I recommend using the F12 + 9 key combination. The speed of the animation will depend on the parameters of your computer, so choose it yourself -

F1 + 1 ... F1 + 9. I have already described how to do this.

Those who like this animation should thank IceJaw19, because it was Joe who convinced me that this training deserves publication.

Happily!

And why the last, if in total 5 trainings? Are they all in this package?

Thanks for the kind words and links, Joe!

No, the other 4 training are much shorter. Only the longest animation was included in this pack.
Almost every character in DOAP has his own training. Some of them you can find in packs DOAP01-03. There they are in the form of CSV tables.
Convert them to MPM files quite simply. I already described the method before. Anyone can do it themselves.

Thank you, i will try to do it
