Skyrim crash in Solstheim

I have read that this is kind of a well know n problem but haven't seen a proper solution.

 

Every time i travel to solstheim (i alreayd met the greybeards...) i get a freeze or more likely a ctd after usually a few seconds. I already have mods which should prevent CTDs and they work most of the time everywhere but never on Solstheim.

Is it because i got to the greybeards before going to solstheim?

 

I really don't want to start a complete new game becasue my mods are causeil all kinds of trouble then and uninstalling all of them would be hell.

Something definatly wrong on your end. I recently finished the Dragonborn DLC missions with no issues at all.  Meeting the greybeards is only required if you want to do the missions. You can visit the island before that.
