I'm a big user of photoshop (I use it for my job) so i kinda feel like this is a more likely to be some kind of custom prop mod the person made...

I'm no specialist but isn't it possible the antialiasing might have been a result of something like an upscaled texture import within photoshop, or bad compression when uploading to skyrim.jpn? Not everyone uses photoshop on a professional level, so its not outside the realm of possibility.
