GeorgiaCav Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 I'd give my LO but the dialogues are VERY specific: Any time I initiate dialogue with a guard, or anyone in a guard faction (certain orcs, etc.) the only thing they will say to me is "Where is your master, slave? It's dangerous to be out here alone." My only possible responses are "I'm not a slave" and "I'm lost, can you help me find my master?" Neither option does anything else. If I say "I'm not a slave," sometimes the guard will say something about helping me out of my bindings, but then it says something like "Too bad, I'm too lazy to implement this yet."
GeorgiaCav Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 Really? I've run ME for ages and never seen this behavior until recently. Certainly not with the latest available update (8-2016). Weird. I'll ask in that topic, then.
-alpha- Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 you load order must have changed. or something that was overwriting dialogs was changed
zaira Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 The MEP dialogs are very similar - but they are hellos only - no conversations
GeorgiaCav Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 I got screenshots of the dialogues to show exactly what I mean. Any ideas? If it isn't ME... then what?
GeorgiaCav Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 I didn't think so, but I'm back at square one. Does anyone know what mod contains this dialogue? Would I be able to find it in CK?
GeorgiaCav Posted June 19, 2017 Author Posted June 19, 2017 It was the Guards Dialogue Topic setting in Deviously Enslaved's MCM menu. I had set it and didn't realize it would take over all the guards' entire dialogue menu. Unticking the option returned everything to normal. Guards did not attempt to enslave, anyway.
