Welcome to

The Diamond City Penthouse

So I got a bit tired of cluttering up the A.S.I.A. Orbital Station yesterday.

So I got to thinking, "why not do something quick and fun"?

I've been wanting a player home in Diamond City for quite some

time, but Home Plate just never quite did it for me. I fact,

settlement building in general has never really appealed to me.

So I went looking around Diamond City for that "perfect spot"

to build something practical and homey, but with a sense

of architectural style that was different from many of the

other player house mods I've seen floating around.

So I built this.

Then I entered the game to test everything. And that's

when things got "interesting"

:D

I was standing in the living room when I asked myself:

"I wonder what will happen if I put on Vinfamy's Prostitution ring"?

Well, I won't spoil it too much for you, but I made over 3000 caps,

right from the comfort of my own home

:P That's right.

No more standing on the street corner for me.

Now, my "clients" come to me. And when they've

finished, they leave through the elevator that leads down

to the Diamond City gate.

That reminds me, I need to send some goons after the Mayor.

Fat bastard owes me a LOT of money

;)

The elevator is located outside of Diamond City,

and just inside of the gate to the left.

Known Issues

Clients will "warp" to you rather than use the elevator.

But they will use the elevator to leave the penthouse.

This is because the penthouse and it's entrance are

in two different cells.

Clients are restricted to the bedroom, living room,

and kitchen areas by the cells navmesh. I didn't want

sandboxing around the workbenches, so I didn't

navmesh that area. Otherwise, the rest of the

space is very follower friendly.

Enjoy!

Three things:

First, I didn't have to share this mod. I made it for myself. My first post clearly states I don't like the whole settlement aspect of the game.

Second, I don't care if it works or doesn't with some mod I do not use. And the elevator is fine the way it is.

Finally, you might wanna lose that "gimme this, gimme that" self-entitlement thing you got going on. You ain't on Nexus..... and that shit isn't tolerated here.

I know you don't like request but is there any way you could take a screenshot looking straight in from the outside. This mod is thankfully very compatible with DC Glory but there seems to be some things out of place and since that mod turns dc into a full settlement I'd like to try and fix what I can

Not sure what a screenshot would do for you, but looking up at the Mayor's office, the space is the three windows to the right.

If it's compatible with the mod you noted, it should work. If it doesn't, it's likely because the entrance to the space isn't in Diamond City. It's the elevator just inside the big gate to the left. To make it easier for settlers to get up there, you'll need to do something inside DC.

DC glory expands the mayors office into the same space , but I figured it out by Uninstalling this and comparing. Luckily it was just 2 couches a painting and a bunch of floor mats that conflicted, not to mention the brick wall in front of the elevator.

the mod caught my interest and i installed it but it seems to conflict with my "start me up" alternate start mod and keeps a quest from starting

neat idea though!

Was it "Getting a Clue"? Because that quest wouldn't start for me either and I'm not using an alternate start mod. I took a look at it in TES5Edit but couldn't find any obvious cause. An alias reference to the mayor's desk was removed from the MQ105 record, but undoing that change didn't fix the issue so I have no idea what caused it.

EDIT: I couldn't even force-start it with setstage. I tried everything I could think of before I saved right before exiting the subway with Nick and started disabling one mod at a time until disabling DC Penthouse.esp fixed it.

ok nevermind i just had too move it too the bottom of me load order but the only thing i would change/ ask for is a workshop too b added somewhere possibly in the room with chem station so players could cusomize the place as they see fit (might stop some complaints imo) otherwise this looks great man good work and THANK YOU VERRY MUCH FOR THIS AWSOME HOUSE MAN!!

Bumping

Does this still work? I'd love to try it out.

Workbench? So I can build inside of this? I'd love to install it and give it a whirl with Human Resources...
