editing .esm in CK

is it possible to edit .esm mods in CK? everytime i. ake changes to an .esm file and try saving it it makes an .esp

 

any help or schooling is appreciated

No, not in the CK. You can use xEdit to make changes to ESM files (Just don't change the official plugins). Make sure you create backups, just in case.

i think can use by Wrye Bash 

 

by copy  ESM  to Esp

 

and editing Esp

 

last step     copy   esp to esm

 

but don't know  the effect to game
