Guest Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 I had to learn this the hard way today. I was trying to track down some some rogue CC showing up on townies and decided to do the batch fix. I applied "disallow random" "disallow default garment" <---- pretty sure that was the culprit "disallow shower" Low and behold the bodies of my sims went missing. As in made them invisible. It never occurred to me that that program was why I was also having so many issue with other body mods like Cmars and others. Now I'm worried about what else it may have wrecked and if that is why I have been having so many issues with CC all these months. Just thought I would let other people know to movie their bod-mods before applying this tool to fix other things.

I accidently deleted all thumbnails and could no longer identify any CC in CAS and used the backup files to restore them. I usually create my own backup before any major modifications of the game. TURBODRIVER Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 I don't know what 'disallow default garment' batch fix does but I can assume that it removes flags from body parts that make them be used as default body parts. Any body replacements will, in that case, be broken. I don't think anything else should break though.
Guest Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Hey there Turbo, From what I understand that is exactly what it does and it didn't appear to do anything else to WW. I just wanted to make people aware in case they weren't that it does happen. As the other person states, it's easily fixed with the back ups the program automatically creates.
sammoyke Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 yea this happened to my sims faces. It had removed the default to a teeth override and it made the whole face invisiable was creepy as shit lol. All in all sims 4 studio is a god send for the game but its good to know when some stuff can cause issues and making sure anything over rides default things shouldnt be put in a folder that gets mucked around with in sims 4 studio batch fixes.

LOL! I have had and have been having some strange things happen in game lately since the newest update. I really need to run S4S to fix all the crazy crap but I am honestly convinced is makes changes in game mods too, not just what it's supposed to change. Don't get me wrong, I love the hell out of the program and like you said it has been a godsend for players and creators alike. I also wish I knew that if we specified where the mods where and use a non default folder if it would change just whats in those folders? Because I have all of my CC divided up in categories I could do that but not sure if it would just stay constrained to the specified folder. I could ask OM I suppose.
sammoyke Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 it does. ive included a screenshot to show where. you just find the folder you specifically want to change and it will only apply the changes to that subfolder. saves a looot of time too.
Guest Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Awesome, you can specify which folder you want to work with! AWESOME! Thankies sammoyke
