Oceansize757 Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Just recently bought my first gaming pc in about 15 years so I'm your basic noob when it comes to mods. I got Skyrim Special Edition about a week ago and after looking around here, it looks like most of the mods I want to use are only for the original version. So I have a couple questions I'm hoping somebody can answer for me. 1. If I were to buy the older version do I need to get the DLC's or could I get buy with just the base game? 2. I'm guessing it shouldn't, but would the 2 versions conflict with each other? Any help would be appreciated, thanks
gregathit Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 No, the two versions won't conflict. They are separate installs and separate games. Recommend getting the DLC's. A number of mods use them and without knowing what mods you are going to like, it is impossible to be very specific.
Gameplayer Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Ya just buy the original legendary version, Its going to be a lot less hassle if you have all the DLC's when you go to pick out mods plus the Unofficail Patch known as USLEEP requires all the DLC's, its one of the most popular files for a reason.
