start new game stuck after intro

so I installed sexlab, fnis, sky ui, and xp32 and as far as I can tell its all in the correct spot o used NMM to install them now when I start a new char I get as far as the intro with the mountain in the back and all the smoke or fog and after the big Skyrim at the end of intro it just stays on the view of the mountain and you can hear the cart wheels going but that's it it stays like that im hoping to not have to reinstall skyrim and redo all the installs manually so if anyone has ideas ide appreciate it if not guess its the hard way

It might be that you've done something wrong, but afaik the vanilla start is just a mess technically. You could simply avoid it by using an alternative start mod like alternative starts.

Since you didn't mention it: make sure you have SKSE.

I forgot to add skse to the list lol I have it  I tried an alternate start mod earlier and once it got to char creation it ctd ill try it again fingers crossed and thanks for the reply either way

 

 

 

nope it still ctd on hitting char creation page ill give it a few hours and see what ideas get thrown my way worst case ill do a clean install and go at it manual install

Make sure to manually install skse(Not with NMM), and launch skyrim from skse launcher

used skse from steam perhaps that's the problem ?

cant use skse from steam, in the skse folder there is an .exe file, make sure you launch your skyrim from that file, otherwise skse will not be enabled and mods dependent on it will CTD

 

Edit - you are looking for SkyrimSKSE.EXE

yea it wasent that either thanks tho I installed the manual skse from the website and still no improvements with or without the alternate start mod either stuck after intro without or ctd with the mod ill probably have to do a clean install and try again

If it's not too late...

Start your new game with 0 mods. Get past that god damned cart ride to where you can save the game. Save & quit so you can load all your mods. That's the only way I can start a new game. Good practise too to stagger your mods into the new game - if it has a req like SKSE don't install anything until you have a save game with that pre req saved into it.
