Which mods do you use to make Sims 4 more challenging?

Just picked up Sims 4 again after a long time. I have to say, vanilla seems to be extremely easy, I am just swimming in money. The game plays more like a sandbox than a simulator. Nothing wrong with that, but I am looking for more of a challenge.

 

 

Which mods can you recommend to turn my Sims game a bit more realistic/hardcore?

One should not need mods for such a thing when there are community challenges posted on sites like SimsVIP and Origin that can provide you more difficulty in your simulation experience. If that isn't enough, you could look to sites such as Mod The Sims for scripted mods which adjust difficulty.
